Installed this on my 95 zj grand Cherokee. Very simple install with great instructions. Didn’t change drive ability and locks great when needed

Install was easy and straightforward, but this is not the first lunchbox locker I have installed. rather noisey at first but quieted down after 200 miles. Unfortunately it only survived 500miles in my jeep. Shattered 3 of the 4 pins and blew out the holes in the locker that retains the pins. I also took out a stub shaft at the same time so maybe I'm just too hard on things. For reference my jeep is on 35s and does everything from grocery getting to running some of the hardest trails you can find in the midwest. Worth the price if your not beating on it every weekend like I do.

Installed in 04 WJ with 4" lift, 4.0 l6. So far the install was average and anyone with experience working axle and diffs should be able to install. It's less complicated than I originally thought. This issue I am having is the passenger wheel will bind momentarily (engaging the locker) on concrete and also with the tires off the ground and with the front shaft removed. The driver wheel does not do this using same methods. The clicking is normal on both wheels. I'll trail test this and update my review. I'll also reach out to support to see what they suggest.Update:After three days of trails I am very happy with the results! The binding was minimum and I found a noisy suspension part adding to the issue. Installed on a Dana 30 , WJ , 4.0 with 3.55 gears and it climbs well.

If you are on a shoestring budget and wanna be front locked here ya go. Works perfect and installed with no issues. Make sure you follow an Aussie locker install. Locks up nice and minimal noise after some driving. Very impressive for the cheapest option on Amazon.

2 year warranty only! Had purchased in 2020, installed 2022 when Jeep was done. Had profesional installation, worked good for 2 trips then started grinding. Now no locker function. Do know how to contact customer service to have it resolved.

The locker was delivered very quickly. The assembly directions were fairly clear. It is well forged and durable. We are still in the process of installing. I will update when I have tested the performance. Update: The locker has performed flawlessly. It is also not as loud as other lockers I've had experience with. Great product.

I installed this in my front Dana 30 27 spline. I was surprised that I had to take the carrier out, but with some googling it was easy enough. If you're comfortable removing your front brakes and hubs and you're capable of organizing the parts you removed, it's not a difficult job. You'll need a socket set (12pt for the hubs), torque wrench, paint pen, 3/16" punch, feeler gauge (optional), RTV gasket maker, grease, and 80/90 weight gear oil. If you take your time, it should only take about 4 hours. Sometimes the carrier is really tight fit into the bearing seats. I used two ratchet straps hooked directly from the carrier to the front bumper to pull it out. Make sure you have ample padding to catch it if you do that. You don't want to crack that on a concrete floor or a rock. The photo attached is prior to removing the carrier - Label everything and take a photo so it can go back in correctly.I found the directions supplied with the locker to be very lacking. They were very generic for a variety of different axles, and they didn't include any photos, except for a couple exploded diagrams. Luckily, there are several other lunchbox lockers on the market, and a lot of the parts are nearly identical. I used the Aussie Locker install guide. The design is almost identical, and it does a much better job of explaining subtle differences, like which direction to install the supplied pins.Despite the lacking installation instructions, I'm really happy with the locker so far, and would definitely recommend it.As for the clicking noise that seems to be the number one complaint about this style of locker: I CAN'T HEAR IT. In 2wd, I've only heard it click when braking hard and cornering. For normal daily driving, I don't hear it. Top down, stereo off, listening for it, and I can't hear it on dry asphalt. Tires don't skip on asphalt, so I know it's unlocking. When I put it in 4x4, it climbs like a mule and spins both front tires, so it's locking. But it's a lot quieter than I expected.

I opened the box and found the contents well packaged and it was easy to visually check for any missing parts without even opening the plastic packaging. Inside was a detailed instruction booklet and a sticker. Installation went smooth, I just didn't have a hardened cross shaft so instead of ordering one and waiting for shipment I hardened and tempered my original shaft and it worked perfect. First time moving while turning steering it made a clunk then has been silent ever since and locks in solid while going straight. Took it up some nasty hills to test it and no slippage. I am very pleased with this locker and the 2 year warranty is good to have just in case. Thanks! I recommend this product.
