With the fast bracket it makes the black plastic shield sticks out 2" park surface of wall, which should be flush with the wall surface. I had to remove the green bracket and simply use the valve - which is fine but I wasted money for the fast bracket.I've heard good things about the valve though, time will tell.

I live in an old condominium where water can only be shut off first Tuesdays and third Thursdays of each month. I am currently remodeling my shower and had this valve installed by my complex’s master plumber. He really liked this valve and told me it was well-made, and that Symmons valves are usually used by hotels and other commercial properties. This valve also has screw stops, so that I don’t have to wait for the water main to be shut off if I need to work in it.

Been installing summons valves for years,.the hassle of cutting little blocks and trying to get a screw in at some diabolical angle Has all done away. Why this wasnt made twenty years ago begs an in depth research program. It is almost fun to install a shower valve with this system. It should be the industry standard and the valve without this green bit should be taken off the market. So simple to get the right depth,the valve is secure.,best plumbing improvement i have seen

Symmons valves are quiet heavy and they might move when you shut them. I had this problem till i found this and it solved my problem. It is so easy to install and you do not need to adjust the valve as well. It just does everything for you. I'm not a pro and I'm sure you can do it yourself.
