It is equipped with two drive bays that can natively support 3.5" SATA hard drives as well as 2.5" SATA hard drives and SSDs. With its two drive bays, the DS224+ can store and share a large number of files with up to 2048 user accounts and 1500 maximum concurrent connections. The DS224+ runs on Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM) OS, a browser-based operating system that helps to simplify managing your Synology NAS. It is powered by a 2.0 GHz Intel Celeron J4125 quad-core processor with a burst frequency of up to 2.7 GHz, and it has 2GB of DDR4 RAM that can be upgraded to 6GB. This allows frequently used files and applications to be quickly accessed.

Apres des années d'abonnements à proton drive, nextcloud et autres google drive j'ai décidé de m'acheter ce Serveur NAS pour sécuriser mes données, les héberger chez moi et ne plus les confier à des tiers.J'ai opté pour 12 To de stockage, ce qui me suffira amplement.L'installation est très facile, vous installez les disques durs dans les baies adéquats et les insérez dans le NAS.Le branchement se limite à un câble réseau et une prise de courant.La mise en route , assistée, est simple et claire.J'avais peur que le NAS soit bruyant, mais pas du tout.A moi les joies du cloud personnel et privé !

Old NAS was no longer being supported so I purchased DS224+ with 12TB of storage. New unit was up and running in just a few minutes. So far the new unit is proving to be ultra quiet and is providing superior performance over my old unit. Highly recommend.
