This motor is no good.I was looking to replace an old motor in my DMR M4. Im running an 11.1 1200mAh lipo, with a titan gate mosfet. I have never had electical issues with this setup before. As I replaced the new motor, I noticed it was shorter than my old motor. I fired off about 20 rounds when the motor just stopped working. Took the motor out to find both Brush springs had melted. I returned the motor and requested a replacement thinking that maybe I had gotten a bad one.Recived the replacement motor to find that it was not the same motor as the last one. The replacement came in a different package and was longer than the first motor I recived, so long that I had to modify my motor cap to fit it. I replaced the motor again, got about 10 shots out before the motor quit again. Removed the motor to find the Bush Springs melted again.Ive never had this problem with motors in any AEG before.Dont waste your time on this motor. Poor Manufacturing and inconsistant product.

This motor works so good. I can’t believe how fast my gun shoots now. It’s 26-30 rps and sounds crazy.

If you want a decent motor get a Golden Boi 2 from therealdealairsoft.com. I thought this motor might be comparable, but it isn't even close. This is similar to ZCI high torque motor that you can get from Evike for $30. It has decent semi response, but again if you just want high TPA and snappy trigger response just get ZCI. If you want snappy trigger and high ROF Golden Boi 2.

Motor works well but is very whiney and gets very hot quick. I should have went brushless.

Purchased this motor in November 2022, and this late review reflects my experience with this motor back then. I didn’t bother to write a review about this motor until now after seeing a review from another t238 motor user that had the same issue with mines.Bought the t238 to put in my Perun Hybrid equipped 13:1 cqb smg build. I wanted to try a 18 turn motor, and I bought this over the Paragon Armory 18t motor because it was much less expensive, and it looked to have the features that I wanted, and I was particularly interested in the aluminum can, internal fan and venting, which would usually mean a cooler running motor. The motor came in a fancy shrink wrapped sealed box. The first thing I noticed after removing it from the sealed fancy box was all the nicks on the aluminum can. Looked like it was tumbling around in a bin full of other motors or something. Second thing I noticed was that there was no holes on the pinion end of the can. How is the cooling fan supposed to pull air through the motor to cool it? I guess all the cooling happens only on the end bell area. The neo magnet didn’t feel as strong as other aftermarket motors I have had experience with, but the pinion looked good. It came with a spec and performance sheet so that was kinda cool. Performance wise with a 11.1 volt lipo it was just ok, nothing wowed me, but it was good enough to keep in the gun. The t238 motor also ran just as hot as the previous asg 35k 16t motor. After maybe 3k of bbs through the gun, it stopped firing. Checked whatever usually needed to be checked and everything seemed ok. I put another motor in and everything worked again. Checked the t238 motor for maybe a hung brush and that’s where I noticed one of the brushes had no tension on it and the spring was slightly deformed and broken. Interesting. Well, I just pulled springs from a parts motor and changed both springs on the t238 and it was working again, but sorry, after the issues and the unimpressive performance, this motor has been relegated to the spares bin. Hopefully newer versions have different batch of springs, a flow through can, and some tuning for better performance.
