Seems well made and sturdy. Can view iron sights through it, which is a plus. However, it does not have a recoil lug for the sight and the screw holes on one side of the mount are elongated (so that it can fit multiple sights, it seems). That said, it's really only the two screws on one side and the friction of two on the other that keep a sight mounted on this thing in place, so I'm not sure how well it will keep zero. May be fine and depend on your caliber, or maybe not. Your mileage may vary.

Solid mount. Love the height. Hope you have a set of longer length drivers, as the screws are deep and a pain with the included set of keys.

Let's be honest fellow gun owners - there's some crap on Amazon that I would NEVER put on my AR15 (or any weapon). But with this piece, I was quite impressed. This riser is solid and certainly seems like it will stay on. This is NOT some flimsy piece of garbage. As for the height, it's perfect to mount my vortex crossfire red dot tube on it. Perfect height for someone tall like me (especially if you're a tall guy with a giraffe neck like me)!!. No more leaning my head sideways to aim. Also, perfect opening to flip up the iron sights and see them without any obstructions.I normally don't leave reviews, but this is a quality piece that demands one. Especially if you search for quality parts as much as I do - something that can be frustrating... hope this helps.

Solid, sturdy, and well machined. Other big brands will charge you over $275 for the exact same item. This mount has helped me shave some seconds off my stage times and gives me more confidence in CQB environments. I highly recommend this item.

Following the 'new' philosophy of stand up vertical while shooting (vs leaning forward, head down on stock), I ordered this for a red dot optic. The height is excellent for this purpose. Shooting with head held up this way vs leaning into the optic mounted lower gives much better peripheral vision and situational awareness. This is one of the few mounts tall enough to let you do that available at a reasonable price.
