Where have these been all my life. Tamale making is a process and these spreaders make the jobeasier and quicker. I learned by using the backside of a spoon to spread masa, but these spreadersmake that job easier and quicker. A very nice little tool. I tip my hat to whom ever came up with this.

Love using this tamale spreader. It does take a little time to learn to use it, but well worth it. I would also recommend prepping the husks by trimming them to the size of the spreader. By doing this and using the spreader, it saves lots of time.

it was hard to figure out how to use, especially if you are used to using the spoon method. The masa needs to be more like peanut butter in order for this to work correctly.

I have not had the chance to use this tool yet (may not, until next Christmas). But I have watched all the inventor's videos, and I just know it's going to make my life a LOT easier! After my first foray into tamale-making this past Christmas, I was ready to throw in the towel - it took far too long to spread the masa, and I did such a lousy job that they came out looking all deformed. I'm ready to try again! Got some extras for gifts, too!

I have been wanting to get this product since I saw the YouTube video! I tried using it the same weekend it arrived! Don't be discouraged, it takes a little practice but within about the first half hour, the spreader began working wonderfully, (a little human error was simply to blame). I highly recommend this product if you are into making A LOT of tamales at a time. It really helps but, you may have to share, as you will want to be the only one using the spreader, with everyone else filling and rolling just to keep up with you!

Wow. I purchased a 4 pack of these after watching a video of lady going to town on some husks with these badboys like a boss.Seeing that I love tamales and have my own assembly line of workers ( 3 kids) I decided that this weekend we would have TAMALE night!!!!I prepared my family recipe for masa and Verde to go along with my grilled pre-brined chicken breast. I set out some parchment paper for each of my kids and a cake pan full of my mixed masa, handed them this tool, and told them to get to work.We did 48 tamales in about 15 minutes. Yes- it takes a minute or two to get the thickness right but one you do it's amazing. The tamales turned out perfect. Buy this product for your Christmas Eve tamales and you'll have more time to enjoy the family and less time in the kitchen.
