The special alignment feature of this tool allows you to run a stiffening, decorative rib on piece after piece, making the bends exactly the same and in exactly the same place. It's a heavy duty tool. It is quite expensive, as are all Tapco products. It is nice to be able to make custom trim, and results are very consistent.

The Brake Buddy is pretty amazing. Been a few years since consistently on a brake, but bending brickmold(s) style was really easy. I capped a new side door brickmold and just like bending a traditional single 3/8" offset by hand. Maybe just a tad light if not true to the brickmold face width to debate even nailing before caulk. Been going around the house dolling up some old picture frame style capping since my wife said to just buy a Tapco Pro19 brake while we're doing siding repairs. Like most brickmold style tops if you didn't install the windows. Don't rely on assuming 45° and just snip the inside bottom corner to the outside upper. Then hope you're not the one who installed off center windows, lol. Whether ordering the additional traditional style die set or just bending single bevel by hand, 🤷🏻♂️. It would be faster bending singles by hand if you need the full flange facing. No reason to not debate different attachments now.

haven't hung any on a house yet but i did make a couple samples for a customer that is gonna have 10 inch wide fascia. so to keep the fascia from "oil canning" i bought this to stiffen it up and its gonna look great as well !!

Was unsure of the purchase at first, but quickly learned to love it. One of the builders I do work for didn't like some of the oil-canning we got on the fascias, so I ordered this to try preventing it. It not only did away with the oil-canning, but the fascia in general feels like it has much more integrity and a very clean custom look. I use it on fascias including bird-boxes...just a few extra details to help set us apart in the area. Each fascia piece takes approximately 30 seconds extra to roll through.One thing we keep on saying is...hope whoever comes to fix anything later on has a Brake Buddy...you'll have a very interesting time trying to replicate the gentle bend in the fascia without one. Or they can call me, who can replicate it very easily...for a cost!The kit also comes with a brickmould roller, we have used it often and again, it works extremely well and makes bending custom door trims incredibly easy. I can easily source white brickmould covers, but not any color Quality Aluminum makes trim coil in I have somewhat easy access to make brickmould covers with.
