Impermeable and impervious to chemical interactions with liquid contents, the reusable cork is the perfect sealant. All of our corks are pressed, not amalgamated. Pressed is a more natural state and does not have the glue additives that agglomerated corks have. Unlike petroleum, gas, coal and other diminishing natural resources, cork is the outer bark that grows on replenish-able, renewable, inexhaustible evergreen oaks known by the Latin name Quercus (oak) Suber (cork). Almost 80% of the world's cork comes from the Iberian Peninsula - Portugal (51%) and Spain (28%) where soil, temperature, rainfall, and wind conditions are ideal. Like cows that continually renew their supply of milk or moose that regrow their antlers - the cork tree regenerates its precious outer layer 12 or 13 times during its 150 year lifetime. The outer bark is harvested every 8 to 10 years after the initial first stripping at 15 to 20 years

Ok. Let me just start off with this: I have a very unusual bottle that needed corked. I am using a glass milk bottle as a whisk(e)y infinity bottle. Obviously, there was never a cork in the milk, so the hunt was on. These corks fit the bottle perfectly. I need to give a huge shout out to Lisa at their customer service because I had a problem with my order and she was the nicest person I ever talked to in any customer service department. She went out of her way to help and fixed my order the next day (since we chatted almost 11 pm my time). So in summary, these corks are great and if you have any problem, I'm 100% certain their customer service will help you in any way.

I had a plastic decanter cap break, and I could not find a replacement. These corks seemed like a good alternative - and the size is as described. There are 10 in the box, with only 1 that seemed of marginal quality, but when compressed, might still provide a good seal. Cork is a natural product, so that’s expected a bit. My glass topper needed a 1/2 inch hole, which I drilled using a forstner bit. Problem solved.

I held these corks up side-by-side with size #11 corks sold by Amazon and the size is the same. These appear to be size #11 corks and not #12 as the listing states. Otherwise they are really good quality corks (FYI).
