I bought it to make "empadinhas", a Brazilian dough made with butter, eggs, and water. I set a small amount on the bottom of individual pie pans and press it with this thing. It did not push the dought up the sides of pan. Might work if you use 3 times more dough , but then defeats the purpose. Will continue to use my fingers.
