I had a couple of these some years back, from a different company, that worked well, but finally gave up the ghost after years of use. I decided to get a new one as I've made a tea drinker out of my husband, so I no longer just brew myself a single cup at a time with a single serve infuser, but make a teapot full at a time, then put it in my Zojirushi vacuum carafe to keep it hot. This one works as well as the Teavana brand (and I wonder if it's the same one, just rebranded) and makes a little over half a carafe full at a time. It allows the tea leaves plenty of room to move around and fully unfurl, which is necessary for tea leaves, otherwise you don't get a good brew.It doesn't leak, and I love that these dispense from the bottom right into the carafe or cup. I wish they made a larger one for tea pots, but I can easily make two batches using the same tea leaves to fill the carafe if needed. It is on the more expensive side, but it's also worth the price for the quality and usefulness.

Functions well, makes multiple tumblers worth of tea at once. I love my iced teas. This is my bougie must-have. Now to get a single serve!

Love this little thing. It's even better than my Tevana one. Cleans easily and seems very good quality.

I have this at work and like that it makes a large quantity at a time. However it doesn’t seem to sit on the top of any of my cups. I end up just holding it over the cup and pressing the bottom which is fine. The other thing that annoys me is that whenever I am carrying this on the plastic tray it somehow ends up leaking. I now just carry them separately otherwise it’s a mess.Admittedly the second issue user error, but I personally like my smaller style better. This wasn’t a bad purchase, but I wouldn’t buy this size again.

We had a Teavana steeper which worked like a charm for 8 or 10 years until we accidentally broke it so we order this product. In under 3 months of use, the screen and steel ball from inside the unit kept coming out and falling into the sink when rinsing. Because we have a garbage disposal, several times I had to fish out the ball after falling down the drain! Since we were past the refund period, I tried a few drops of superglue around the perimeter of the screen to hold it in place but that only lasted a couple of weeks. I contacted Amazon via chat and they offered a new unit, but with a $6.60 restocking fee on the broken one, which I thought was odd! Since I’m a very frequent Amazon shopper I was disappointed with that poor offer considering the unit was only 3 months old, but I understand that Amazon is not the manufacturer of it. I contacted Tealyra next and was answered by someone named Sergey. They only offered me a 35% discount coupon on a new unit, with no apology or guarantee on the quality of a replacement! Another poor customer service offer! I’m trashing it and will try a competitor’s product next!

I use this literally everyday. So simple. Add loose leaf tea, hot water, let sit for 3-5 minutes. Only complaint is ypu can't see how full the glass under the pot is while pouring unless it's clear glass.

I love that it’s to easy to clean, I feel I really have matured with my tea. Rarely use tea bags now because I love steeping, loose tea is very easy because of the clean up and no pieces of loose tea in my drink. I get more taste of the tea. The only dislike is, I should have know about the tea maker earlier.

This tea maker is almost perfect. It's a great price and definitely easy to use. As others have said it rinses out when using tea leaves easily and I've also used it for coffee as without problems.Ultimately I definitely recommend for anyone who loves loose tea by the cup and doesn't want to pull out a whole brewing system or who thinks as I do that the little tea pods with the holes (sorry what are they called?) don't allow for good water flow for steeping. It's also big enough for a small pot of tea.I have only two mild observations that don't amount to deal-breakers:Firstly, the tea maker filters into your cup, mug, tumbler, etc automatically when you place it on top of the cup and the feet, resting on the cup, push up into the maker allowing for the flow. (It seems other models have a manual lever you squeeze) I have many size cups, mugs and tumblers and not one of them is the same size as the tea maker platform that sits on the cup. The maker is always sitting to one side and not all the feet are "engaged." While it works fine, and doesn't leak or anything, I've found that shifting it from one side of the maker to the other helps it filter more completely. No biggie, but kind of weird. Curious what cup or tea pot it was made to fit exactly.Secondly, I like to add spices to my tea during the steeping, which is one of my reasons for purchasing this type of tea maker. The very fine filter gets a bit clogged when I add ground spices and is not quite as simple to rinse. As this is not the explicit intended purpose of the tea maker, I can't fault it.The tea maker serves its purpose well and is a good value compared to others. I'd recommend it.

Fantastic for tea. Easy to use and no mess. We had an old one and needed a replacement. Very happy with this one.
