These are literally super heavy duty springs. They will work great for attaching the hammock swing to the hook on the roof.

I'm using these to support myself from a ceiling beam and they hold really well. I didn't want to put a bunch of stress on that beam when getting into the hammock, and these work really well for that as well as anything else that might put stress on whatever structure you're suspending from. Great quality, great finish, great hooks. Product recommended.
