Attach the straps around the two lower trunk door edges, left and right bumpstops, and the liftgate hinge.
For the four window shades, you just put them on each window and then fasten the strap into the door gap.

These don’t work very well. They go over the entire door, are flimsy and don’t stay put, I gave up using these as directed and instead got some suction cups and used them to put this onto window.

I ordered these because we go car camping in our Model Y from time to time and have traditionally used the window covers that you unfold and shove into the windows. They work great with the exception that you can’t open the door after they’re installed, which means you need to install them from the back seat (unless you’re willing to crawl over the center console into the back after installation). They’re great, but just inconvenient. These window curtains address that issue by allowing you to open and close the door, as needed. So we can install them with the door open, comfortably standing outside the car while we put them on. That part is awesome and they work great for that. However, there are two downsides. 1) If it rains, they will get wet and may wick around the window and into the car. 2) You really are kinda advertising that you’re sleeping in your car. We have traditionally tried to be discreet about it, but these covers stand out from outside the car and kinda scream “somebody is sleeping in here.” If that doesn’t bother you, then these may be your best bet. For us, we are taking a case-by-case approach depending on where we are camping for the night. If it’s a standard camping location, then we go with these. If it’s a parking lot where we’re trying to blend in, then we’ll use the standard inside-window covers.

These curtains are a bit of a mixed bag. They provide adequate darkness but don't achieve complete blackout. Installation requires patience and some trial and error. The biggest issue is the zipper quality - they frequently malfunction which is frustrating. On the plus side, they store compactly when not needed. They work well enough for basic privacy needs, but the durability concerns with the zippers are a notable drawback.

First of all, these fit relatively fine. FYI, I do not have a tesla, I used these on a Hyundai Sonata. Due to this, I expected it to not fit perfectly, and surprisingly it still fit pretty well. The black out function was perfect, and it did it's job very well. It allowed me to roll the windows down for air circulation while I went camping in my car, which was great! The only reason I took a star off is due to the zippers. They are SO cheap. One of them broke after the first use. The other ones would get stuck or come off the track. Just awful zippers. Due to how expensive these are, I did expect more quality zippers. I personally do not think these are worth the price, however on sale I can recommend this product.

This privacy curtain set for the Tesla Model Y does a fantastic job of blocking out light and providing a private, darkened interior. The blackout feature is perfect for camping or napping on the go.
