Product worked great for 5 months! Its a big price to pay for something that didn't even work a year!

*UPDATED* Teslong reached out and bypassed Amazon with some pretty incredible customer service. Buy with confidence I now have experience with the product (4 in our shop) and their service and am more confident in recommending these as the best value and quality for technicians. The guys in the shop that spent over $1000 for the 1.5" screens and grainy low resolution Snapon branded cameras they bought, all kick themselves when they see these cameras. Though different having it come to your house, it is not more difficult than meeting the Snapon truck and waiting for return or getting denied return because it's electronic as I have seen in the past (Dealers vary though so your experience is very dependent on your dealer). Anyway I just want to update and say that Amazon system while usually adequate can break down and fail you but, in this case Teslong steps in and upholds a high level of customer service.************************************************************There are several mechanics at our shop that have these camera. Generally I like them. I bought one so I didn't have to borrow theirs anymore. The one I got however is really stiff and hard to articulate. Since I have a couple to compare mine to, I can tell mine has something wrong. I thought it would loosen up after some use but I have had it out on a few occasions this month and another mechanic used it and agrees it is too stiff and something is wrong with it. It seems to bind internally and it becomes a 4 handed operation to hold the length of the scope straight so there are no bends in it for the articulation to be possible.I tried to exchange it but, there is no option for exchange. I spoke with Amazon support and they confirmed the only option is return/refund. I didn't want to return the item, I simply wanted an exchange for a properly functioning one. I bought this during black friday or boxing day I cant remember which but regardless, I took advantage of the sale price. Now if I want to get a replacement I have to buy one at the current price and I can send mine back and get a refund of what I paid. So no real customer service available, its just Amazon refund service. I have initiated a return, though I am uncertain if I will rebuy or not. When little things like this happen and there is no simple route to correct it, I am driven to look at something else. In the hope that companies will change their procedure and do better in future.

Great image quality. Love how small the camera is. Fits anywhere basically. Wire is very flexible and sometimes wish it was more rigid for pipes etc.

I have two older scopes with 3.9 and 3.7mm diameters and the images from this 3.9mm are much better, although the built-in software and unit controls are more limited. I purchased this for the wifi (worked fine) to use an independent 10" tablet screen with it, but because you work the thumb 'stick' toggle to curve the camera and need to glance at it occasionally, you might as well stick to the built-in monitor (also good). I found the cable was too rigid and in the way for close-in work as it cannot and should not be looped. Despite articulating the camera to sight along a slight curve you can't then move ('push') the camera 'forward' to advance the cable behind it because it's straight. While the image is very good, the camera focal point is not where the lighting is aimed. I could not see the detail I needed when I got closer than where the the light was pointed (near end of tube).

This is such a cool machine! I love that it articulates and is nice nd bright, even in the darkest location. Good resolution. Impossible to take a pic of this while using because both of my hands are being utilized but I have a scope for my iPhone and it’s nothing even close to how good this thing is and the display and articulated movement! Accept no less than the best and this is it!

I have a couple of endoscopes (one several years old, but still works), this one has the clearest picture of any, at least as good brightness, but most pleasantly of all is how thin it is -- a lot of the time I'll use one for inspecting behind a wall (and more than once, the ceiling), and the smaller the hole to make & patch afterwards in the drywall THE BETTER.This is the first articulating scope I've ever had...I don't know if it's supposed to be this stiff to get it to articulate fully or not, but I didn't imagine it'd take that level of effort to turn the wheel to get it to bend. Maybe that's by design, maybe that "loosens up" over time, or maybe I just got one that was built stiffer than it's supposed to be (I don't know and unfortunately have no comparison to know).Love that it can take photo and video, and the built in screen (no secondary app or anything is needed, nor a screen that separately displays the image). Compared to my other 2 endoscopes, this thing is feature rich and hands down my new Go To!

I have an older model borescope with light which does not offer the articulating functionality nor the clarity of this model. My expectation was a similar sized borescope to what I currently have. Reality was the scope end is tiny in comparison, I was truly surprised at how small it was. The articulating function makes this multiple times better than my previous unit and was really easy to use and control the angle of the camera. The light is sufficiently bright and has multiple brightness settings. There are a number of advanced features on this device which are all add up to a superior product. The unit features temperature sensing at the camera allowing you to avoid potential damage from excessive heat. The unit can be connected to a PC over USB-C, avoiding the need to pop out the tiny micro SD card to transfer recorded video and photos. The system also contains Wi-Fi functionality which allows you to connect to a phone or tablet with the free app to view what is being shown on the scopes screen. This will make displaying to others live video much easier. The fiber optic camera and scope display are old contained in a nice padded protective zipper case.

Over the last couple of years, I have tested a few endoscopes / borescopes. I have used them for looking inside walls, engines, pipes, air ducts, eavestrough etc... Each unit that I have tested, have proven their worth but I must say that the this particular Teslong kit, has impressed me alot. The stand out feature on this scope, over all the others, is the articulating camera at the end of the cable. Via an arcing switch, you can manipulate the camera to "sweep" an arc of view, in front of it, making it very easy to get a really good look at things without having to jostling the camera line too much. It is a really powerful feature. This model is very well built, well sealed, well spec'd and easy to use and provides an excellent display that is integrated with the control portion of the rig. It feels great ergonomically and also handles with a rather "premium" feel. It would not surprise me to see a contractor use a boroscope of this caliber. This particular model has a very useful 16.4ft, semi rigid cable that not only gets you deep into a point of interest but it has just the right amount of "flex" and "rigidity" to get you where you want to go, around corners or rough joint ridges, with relative ease. This particular model also sports a LARGE and brightly lit 6" (integrated) high definition screen with handle mounted controls for zoom and wide view. This makes using this model, an absolute pleasure as it really allows one hand to guide the cable while the other is free to manipulate the camera on screen, as well as the image capture or video capture.Images are captured on a 32GB microSD card that allows easy transfer to other platforms. As well as video capture, there is the ability to take "one touch" still photos, on the fly. No need to fiddle with any "mode" changes. The stills can be captured while video is being recorded.Image orientation can be adjusted as well, so that you need not worry so much about the physical rotation or orientation of the cable. The end of the scope features an LED light that can be brightened or dimmed according to darkness or light reflection, as needed, on the fly.Though I have not got crazy with banging this unit around, I have tested the screen against light to moderate bangs and drops as well as pretty heavy misting of the monitor (display) and complete immersion of the camera in water. To date, this unit has worked flawlessly. The battery also gets it's own (segregated) shout out here because at 6 hours, that is a full day workhouse capacity, right there. I have used this scope and others like it, several times over the last while and I am not even 100% sure that COMBINED, I have used them for 6 hours. The battery life with this unit, is second to none. Please note the following though; it takes quite a few hours to charge this bad boy completely from a "dead" state. It should be noted that battery performance is subject to screen brightness setting as well as "wireless" functions being active or not.All-in-all, this has been one of my best experiences to date with any of the units that I have had the privilege to try to date. It is well made, feature rich, easy to handle and performs beautifully at a price that is lower than I would have expected. This one is a great value and a solid buy!Highly recommended!
