For 50 years, fishkeeping enthusiasts have looked to the Tetra name for products and solutions that add ease and beauty to their home. Whether you're an experienced hobbyist or just starting out, Tetra has everything you need–-from a large variety of quality fish food and innovative equipment to test kits and decor. The Tetrafauna Viquarium™ will convert an ordinary aquarium into an aqua-terrarium, a combination of an aquarium and terrarium, which has a dry land part for terrestrial animals, a water section for aquatic reptiles, amphibians and fish, and a divider part which allows amphibian animals to easily move from one section to the other.
A diverse group of animals can be maintained in Tetrafauna’s Viquarium. In the water section, fish and aquatic animals, such as African Clawed Frogs, will be at home. On the land part, animals which normally live near water or those that require a high degree of humidity can be kept. Anoles and some species of geckos will do fine here, as will many tree frogs and poison dart frogs. But the most interesting group of animals that can be kept in the Viquarium are those amphibians which divide their time between life in the water and life on land.

Great piece of equipment and I love the heavy manufacture of the resin waterfall. Disappointed in the pump not working.

Finally something that is meant for terrariums with critters in it. This is beautiful, works amazing, fits well together. The price is a bit high but the quality is great and I couldn’t be more happy with this. I did notice some breaking on the inside support but I’m so I love with it I could care less. 10/10

Bought this when i decided to re-model my Fire-BelliedvToad paludarium, the waterfall/filter is an excellent feature and centrepiece of my enclosure. Very easy to assemble and very impressed.

I am not exaggerating when I say my turtles are obsessed with this thing. They love the waterfall so much. They'll bask and put their feet into the creek bed and just live it up. The incline is also perfect for them to climb up on, and they struggled with most other ramps. The filter part of it doesn't work great; I have two internal filters separately for that. It's also pretty low for bigger turtles so I created a platform for it so they could have more swimming room. But its great as a basking spot for them and it looks great!

Makes a perfect edition to my 40 gal zoo-med snake tank setup for my anole, its a little low though, if you had any aquatic creatures or a water dragon might wanna put a custom platform under it to raise it a little for more space to swim around, but if you got firebellys or anoles its perfect.

I purchased this product 3 months ago so that I could upgrade the habitat for my Chinese water dragon and overall I give this 4 stars (I like it but I don't love it.). At first, this product filtered her water feature very well but after a few weeks I noticed that it did not filter it in one particular corner of her tank and now we have a black algae problem. I have bought a small sponge filter to help with this and I have bought sludge reducer but there still isn't enough filtration even though the product is supposed to be for 20-55 gallon tanks. She has a 40 gallon and her water takes up about 15 gallons of the tank. Now, the initial setup is very easy and the filter was a piece of cake to put together!I had to use Plexi glass to fill in the gap between the feature and the side of the tank. For the actual habitat, I used medium size aquarium pebbles, fake plants and terrarium moss to give it a natural look and to keep the humidity level high for her. So far, she is absolutely in love with her feature. She loves the running water and even tries to sleep on the waterfall. So for these particular things, I would have given it 5 stars.I gave it 4 stars instead of because it is a great product idea but it still isn't providing adequate water quality for my water dragon. It is aesthetically pleasing but not very good for maintaining healthy/clean water for an animal. You have to have multiple filters to achieve that.I still like my product very much. Thank you!Update November 2016: I purchased a stronger water pump (FORTRIC Submersible Fountain water Hydroponic Pump 120GPH) to replace the one that came with the product and the results are fabulous. My water quality has improved and my water dragon is able to swim without worrying about black algae or sludge.Honestly, I do not regret my purchase of the viquarium at all. It continues to prove that it is an excellent addition to my lizards habitat. It just takes a couple of adjustments to make this product work for any aquatic or semi aquatic animal. Thank you!!!

Our next door neighbor recently moved out and somehow left his turtle behind. We found him (a Red Eared Slider)walking around in our back yard in late November. Our 12 year old son was so excited and curious about this turtle that we had to adopt him. We named him "Toodie" and I must admit I fell in love with him too. Having had turtles and fish and all kinds of pets in the past but none now, I wanted to give him a good home and also teach my son how to properly care for and the importance of the "how to and whys" of making the proper habitat for reptiles. So, we started out with just a five gallon tank, filter, hood kit to see how "Toodie" would do and how our son would like caring for him. "Toodie" liked the 5 gallon aquarium but soon it was obvious that the tank was too small. So after a couple of hours of research on-line, we moved up to a 20 gallon "turtle-quarium" kit that included the proper lighting, basking area, filter, etc. Then about a week later I asked a sales specialist at our local Petco store what I could do in order to make the turtle's tank as realistic as possible, making it part aqua and part land environment and he suggested the Tetra-Fauna Viquarium. So I bought the Tetra-Fauna Viquarium as a family gift for Christmas. It is very well made and well designed. Fortunately, it is NOT made out of cheap plastic...it is made of a heavy clay type material which adds great realism to the unit. The way the clay is molded looks totally realistic, just as you may see a small river waterfall with rocks in a real jungle/tropical area. It fit perfectly in the corner of our 20 gallon tank and because the instructions are simple and well written, I had it set up and running within about 20 minutes. I have had this set up and running in our tank now for about 10 days and the built-in, hidden filtration system is quiet, effective and runs extremely well. The waterfall flow and realism is totally awesome and adds tremendous aesthetic realism, beauty and quality to the turtle's environmental safety and naturalism. Most importantly, "Toodie" just loves it! He climbs up on the top of the waterfall and slides down in to the water below and sometimes basks on top of either one of the two "towers" formed by the clay molding.I think it was originally priced at over $100.00 but it is a great deal at a lower price here on Amazon.com. For the money, this is a totally worthwhile investment in your turtle's habitat and we have had numerous compliments on the tank by friends and family over the holidays! The Viquarium unit also give you some design flexibility to your tank; it comes with a nice artificial plant fixtures that looks totally real and also a waterfall "extension" to lengthen the waterfall slide if you wish. The unit is also easy to clean and easy to change the filters. The unit uses two filters that are inexpensive to buy and replace through Amazon.com or your local pet store. If you really want to care properly for your turtles or other reptiles/amphibians and have a delightfully beautiful addition to your home, get this totally unique and functional asset for your aquarium/terrarium habitat and you will not be disappointed.PWN
