I’m collecting various samples of metals and minerals of a rod shaped size. I’ve transported steel and bronze rods of similar shape in map car, and the shape edges slice through everything. This sellenite rod is just stunning to look at. But I must warn you, it’s hardness is very low, a fingernail can scratch it, as removing it from the seraphan wrap ended up scratching it when my fingernail made contact. Even lightly bumping it against a sharp edge of most metals will leave a scratch. This is also a big benefit, as I can toss this on the plastic dash of my car and know it won’t scratch or damage anything. The edges are rounded and smooth. The only sharp edges you can get from this rod is if you end up scratching it up so bad you create some burrs.

This arrived completely cracked horizontally. It almost looks like it was two halves put together. There are also several large cracks and numerous small ones. The size is great but I am totally disappointed with the quality. I am scared to use it because I dont want it to break. Very disappointing.

I hate to leave a bad reviews, I got mine and it was broke right in half, looks like it was pieced together and come apart for its a clean strait break which would assume it was not a solid cylinder..it is very pretty thou and it true selenite..sad mine is broken..

Mine selenite wand is almost 6 in and is very smooth. The color is consistent and selenite is a good quality. I have had it for a couple of months now and use it almost daily.
