this is great! i bought both the salt and pepper grinder. it is a bit of a luxury but works great and looks high end in the kitchen. solid piece of art in addition to being efficient.

I bought this item twice for my two homes! I bought pepper brass grinders from other sellers but comparing them to the salt brass grinders from Alexander, I can assert that this ones are made of high quality craftsmanship

Everything is plastic. The main tube is flat is metal, but is lined with plastic. The grinder is plastic. The quality is so poor that the crank on the top show shows the milling marks facing up instead of facing down where you don’t see them this is a very poorly Constructed piece of garbage for 80 something dollars I will be returning it

I had a chome salt mill for over 10 years, and loved it- the grinding mechanism in the salt mills aremade from plastic (metal would corrode) and it finally gave up the ghost. Ordered a bronze salt mill as a replacement and it looks beautiful and works like a charm.
