Our Imperial White tea comes from Ningde in China. Ningde is nestled between the mountains and the ocean in the northeastern corner of China’s Fujian province. The region is full of wild mountains and lushly forested hilltops that look out over emerald tea gardens and intricately terraced slopes and valleys. The region is also known as Min Dong in reference to the ancient Min culture of southeastern China. Tea has been growing in Ningde for centuries and longstanding green and white tea-making traditions continue to this day.The flavor of Ningde teas can vary drastically depending on their proximity to the coast or inland mountains. This tea was grown on a high elevation mountain further inland and has a characteristic clean, clear aroma and taste.Using a “Fu Yun” leaf varietal, Imperial White is made by withering the tea indoors for several hours and air-drying in special rotating tea ovens. No rolling or bruising of the leaf is performed.

I like the flavor of this tea. I drink it when I want something of a lighter flavour while I read.

I’ve purchased loose leaf tea through a variety of vendors for more than a decade, and this tea is one of the worst I’ve tried. No flavor. At all. It’s not that the tea is a mild white tea with a delicate profile. There’s just nothing to taste in the brew. Use a tablespoon of tea per cup (up from the 2 teaspoons that are suggested) and the result is the same. Brew for 5 minutes instead of the suggested 4? Still nothing. Will not purchase from this vendor again.

This is one of the best white teas I have ever had and the tender, delicate leaves can be brewed more than once! I also love the container which tightly seals the tea with a tight fitting inner lid. I heartedly recommend it and although I just opened mine recently I’ll be ordering more soon!

I just didn’t care for the taste. It says vegetative taste and it meant it. It’s like drinking hot carrot water.

I love white tea now after trying it. This is the best brand I've come across so far. You can tell it's high quality from the taste, which isn't frail, but gentle. I like that this tea comes with an exact temperature and steep time, which I do my best to match. I steep a little longer because I like to add milk to white tea. Very subtle flavor notes, but heartwarming. It doesn't need much sugar at all. It tastes fantastic on its own with its delicate flavors. I really recommend this tea.

This tea is delicious. This is a white tea, which is not meant to be strong or overpowering. It tastes delicious all by itself, and blends beautifully with my other teas. The leaves also very fine. They are large leaves that make a lovely brew. One caution though. It comes in a tin, which is very nice. But it's sealed so tightly that even my husband had trouble getting the lid off. If you are an old lady like me, you would NEVER get it off. And Amazon did not package it well. My tin is dented on one side.Otherwise, I'm very satisfied. I will certainly buy this tea again.

I love adagios white symphony tea but its almost twice as expensive as this tea so I came to amazon to find a cheaper substitute. This tea has entire leaves BUT it also has entire stems as a result the tea flavor is really really faint and by that i mean faint by white tea standards.

This tea is wonderfully light, smells so intriguing, nice and fresh and piney. The leaves are absolutely perfect, not broken or squished! Beautiful product inside and out. Would highly recommend to every tea drinker who seriously loves certain types of tea. This silver needle was superb, I even skipped using a dash of honey it was that good. The price I felt was fair too. It comes with two tins which is perfect for gift giving, sharing, or just plain enjoying a few well brewed pots a day!
