This came exactly as described and is a good medium stress ball which means it is not extremely solid or too giving. I purchased it for my wife who needed to increase her grip strenth due to a wrist issue. It works well and came with instructions for different exercises.

I've had a terrible time finding a stress ball that's not filled with fluid or plastic granules, both of which suck IMHO. This is a solid gel ball (not filled with something else) and it's perfect. To those reviewers who call it "sticky," well...you didn't spend more than two minutes with it, did ya? The ball comes with a little baby-powder coating that wears off fast, but it's not sticky. UNTIL YOU WASH IT. Once you wash it, spend 10 minutes playing with it and the oil from your skin eventually makes it feel dry (not oily, just...normal).It's quite obvious that people who call it sticky have washed it, felt it was sticky, threw it back in the package and off it went to Amazon.

The ball gets sticky after use and washing it with soap and water didn't help. But a little bit cornstarch made this ball like new again. Can't wait to improve and get the next level up.

My wife and I have used the wonderful Theraband bands. They got my wife out of physical rehab twice after tortuous operations. These re focused on the hands. There are complaints about the stickiness of the balls. I washed the initial powder of of mine and it immediately became sticky. I put baby powder (cornstarch) on the ball and it is now -- once again -- "sticky free". Now all I have to do is actually use it.

I bought this ball to help rehabilitate my hand after crushing two fingers but now I use it all the time with both hands to alleviate stress. It's my constant companion these days while reading/watching the news.As someone else suggested, dipping it in some baby powder once every so often will eliminate the tackiness and give it a nice long life.

PRO:It is very squeezable (Though it really takes muscle strength to maneuver it I don't think I'd recommend this for someone just starting finger therapy). No matter how you squeeze it, the ball returns to ball form.Con:It takes a lot of finger/hand muscle to get a good squeeze of the ball. It's rather sticky. Mine came with white powder on it and most of the powder has come off but there is still residual powder I'm unable to get off the ball.It has a bit of a weird smell, eventually you get used to it...I thought my cat saw me using it so she'd like to play with it too but she just takes one sniff and backs away from it.

Perfect for any rehabilitation therapy. I used it on my therapist's recommendation and got desired results. Although this can be used on one's own, therapeutic supervision will bring you excellent results. So its always better to use the item under medical supervision.
