I'm finish carpenter and woodworker since 1968. Like this product. straightforward and simple . seems to work well on my field saws, which are Bosch 4100 series. great time saver. Only used this model twice so far to rip spacer strips. worked perfectly.

First off, I had already initiated a return on this unit due to the fact that you seemed to need two arms and a leg to tighten the unit into the slot. Then I read the reviews and the solution was right there. Rotate that spreader screw 90 degrees and try again. Worked like a charm. Tightens easily and securely with one hand and without a lot of effort. DWE7491 Dewalt saw.

First, understand that the saw I is this with is a Bosch jobs site saw, so some stuff I say may not apply to contractor or cabinet saws. The distance slide has good locking action but there is no way to secure it in the miter slot. In addition, the thinnest I can rip with this is approx 1/8" because it won't get any closer to the blade. It is only in metric for some reason so I have no way to gauge thickness of rip distance. Also, the measurement gauge seems to be reversed, going from left to right where it should measure from right to left. As far as make goes, it is made of quality materials and has some weight to it. I have dropped it several times on my garage shop floor and there are no cracks, dings, or dents to speak of. If I could I would look for a different jig, one that has imperial units, can gauge down to 1/16", locks into the miter slot and measures from right to left so I can adjust thicknesses without needing a second device to measure.

I do a bit of woodworking and remodeling for myself and friends/family and have to fabricate a lot of things. This table saw jig has become invaluable. First, it is HIGH QUALITY and fits my table saw. The set-up is easy and simple and the results are true and accurate. Just follow the manufacturers directions. Granted, you have to be proficient and schooled with a table saw. But if you need repetitive thin strips of accurate thickness this is my choice of jig. Did I mention it is HIGH QUALITY??!! I use it for custom trim fabrication, mainly, because the price of trim is so expensive, but I also cut custom thickness thin spacers and lathe.

This does not fit the DeWalt DWE 7485 jobsite table saw.

very nicely built, all metal device to slice off strips of wood. safer to operate the saw, as you can keep the riving knife and guard on.Make sure you orient the screw under the plastic nut so that the 'ridges' push out against the sides-otherwise it will not lock into the miter slot.

I cut a lot of veneer and thin strips for the woodwork I do, and this tool made my job a whole lot easier. I have cut veneer down to near paper-thin slices and had consistent cuts. Also, my fingers are safer using this tool than other jigs I have used in the past. Highly recommend!

I think the quality is good. Seems to be heavy and we'll made. The bearing works very well.

After watching countless YouTube videos on building your own thin rip jig and never getting around to making one, I broke down and bought this one. I am glad I didn't waste my time. This tool is very well built with premium fit and finish, dead simple to use, and much nicer than anything you can make. Rather than a simple stop, it has a bearing as the stop which not only sets the correct depth of the table saw fence, but also helps secure the workpiece tightly against the fence for extra security when cutting thin strips. The other thing I like about it is how easily you set the depth by measuring against the blade, tighten the knob just a little to lock the slider in place, then slide the whole unit toward you in the mitre slot and then tighten it a little more to lock it down before making your cuts.Part of the fun of the woodworking hobby is making cool jigs to solve specific problems, so I get that. But another fun part of the hobby is having premium quality tools that are a pleasure to use and just work with no fiddling around.

Upon receiving it the first thing that struck me was the quality feel and appearance of the product. The aluminum body could have been made to use less aluminum by adding voids etc., in the extrusion die, but instead it's like it was machined from a solid billet of aluminum. The "cuts" to the original length are perfectly finished (almost polished) rather than seeing the cutting marks left by whatever type of cutter was used.I simply dropped it into the slot on my table saw and with a few turns of the large knob, it gripped the slot making for a very a very rigid, wobble free, connection. The bearing at the business end turns smoothly and again is solidly attached to the main body.I rarely find a purchase exceeding my expectations, but I will admit this one did...strongly recommend this product if you are trying to rip equal thickness strips of wood. (I'm making curved nosing for a circular staircase)

Buena calidad, se desplaza bien individualmente. Solo el detalle que al momento de fijarlo sobre el riel de la mesa no hace un agarre correcto. se va desplazando . Y ya lo he probado en varias maquinas. y lo mismo . Hay que calzarlo
