I’ve tried all sorts of strings over the last 35 yrs and have generally settled on Ernie Ball 10mm and Skinny Top Heavy Bottom specifically. I have always wanted to try Thomastik but couldn’t get past the price. I finally did and think they are STELLAR!Regarding the price, they have a reputation for lasting 2-3x other strings used on a professional level. If true, they’re worth the price. Especially that I’m not a professional. They feel and sound so nuanced and balanced string to string in a way I’ve never experienced. With my recently acquired ‘65 Ampeg, ‘67 Guild Starfire, these and Herco 75 picks I’ve never enjoyed playing so much!

The first pack of strings wouldn't stay in tune. The second pack, the high E string unwrapped itself while the low E was dull in tone. I would like my money back or you can send me Ernie Ball Slinky 10's.Thanks.

I absolutely love their flatwourd bass strings, so thought I'd try these. They sound great but they feel much stiffer than my previous set of 10s.

I put a set on my Gibson LP about 6 months ago, and have only just felt a need to change them, only because it seemed an awfully long time. The new ones were brighter with better sustain, but there was no feeling of "I should have changed them sooner" that I'd normally get after a couple of months. They are expensive, but I'll keep using them because they sound and play great, and they last.

.Wish list strings for Fender Telecaster and I love them! Smooth feel, light action. The sound is amazing - not overly twangy but just very pure (amped with a vintage Twin Reverb.) They look expensive, feel expensive and sound expensive, but are worth every penny. Survive without a premium cup of coffee for a couple of days and treat yourself to these!

The Sliders are a little harder to bend than regular 10s,not much but enough to notice. The sound is unmistakably pro quality. They are balanced and sound in tune all the way up the neck. They are more expensive but they last a long time. I bend strings a lot and they never fail me. I can see why, when you walk into a studio and the string instrument cases all have the name Thomastic-Infeld in them. These are for the pro player who need the best sound their guitars can deliver.

Sometimes you just have to spend the money, tried a set out on my Gretsch, loved the tone, the feel on my finger tips, made me smile every time I played. Basic string care and they lasted and continued to sound clean, bright, clear. Then of course I broke my B string. No problem i had a spare set of DR Blues, so just swapped them out - ouch. i used to like DR's, Have them on other guitars from Gibson to Fender. Looks like i will be ordering in bulk from now on, these sliders are worth the money not just for the quality but more importantly for the feel and how they make me feel when i play.
