I was always interested in racing simulators, but didn't want to spend too much to try. I got this set and I was impressed with the feedback, I really recommend it as an entry point.

Just want to start with Im not disapointed with my decision to buy this particular sim wheel. What im disapointed about is the lack of honest straight forward descriptions. So the weel itself is plastic or at least a plastic housing. Ok yeah it is just a toy. Wait a toy that if i place my hand wrong the force feed back could injure me? With plastic. So id say at least 98% of these sim racing wheels say there metal of somekind you know like a real car stearing wheel. Um the paddle shifters feel like there bending just from use. not to be cofused with overuse. The plastic break and gas pedals, (no clutch?) Actually feel really good theres no real sence of presure but there is restance so its not to bad but you cant really use one foot cause the adjustable plates on the pedals are wierdly big. Its almost like they had no idea what they where doing. The base of the wheel feels real sturdy and has a fair amount of weight to it. I guess its dual band and mabye a gear for the stearing and force feed back. It feels not at all like what i thought. In fact i kinda think i got a defective one. I mean it works as far as i can tell, but feals dry and like a out of aline gear. Kinda like half working power stearing. So this is probably the most important bit. Button maping? Yeah well no. Only if the game doses it in there options. As far as Assetto Corsa goes kinda as long as you use the buttons they allow but dont tell you. Its trial and error. So your left with 4 buttons that are double duty for the options menu and shifting up down. Why why why. This is only being used on xbox one s. Even though i hooked it up to my laptop to see the setting and was able to kinda get it to work good until i unpluged it from comp cause the save files dont go from comp to xbox. Or something like that. Blah... Problem is i cant fine tune it and i cant remap the buttons. For $299.99 you would think you would get these features since a 40$ controller can. Now you can set levals of options like ffb, cerb ffb, road ffb, (as far as asseto corsa) and none of witch really help you with a discription so you have to look it up on you tube, then it wont be for your exact wheel+game so youll round up/ down the values and hope for the best. If you have a family or roommates and you need to use headphones? You have to plug in to your controller and set it to not turn off. O wait i have yet to find this setting. so every few minuts itll shut off and lag your game. Unless you listen to music at same time you race. Oh and and probably the worst is there is secret" or hiden" settings. Now to me theses should be praised not hidden. You can download this info from thrustmaster. How to work the menu that chnges on the fly: like the degrees for the stearing. 270, 360, 6??, and 900 and the other is a sensativity setting. default, low, mostly low, and really superlow. Let me end this by saying all in all if you can get it right it plays really good and i would suggest this for a sim driver that is new to wheels but not new to sim games. Oh i almost forgot. The add ons, a choice of 2 triple pedal set ups with a forth as long as you can get the adapter plug. A shifter again same as pedals. And a handbreak except that one a mod and its going to be expensive. Not unlike the other 2 and the usb hub for conections cauae this wheel dosent have enough holes to plug these add ons in. And they actually cost more then the wheel peddle combo i paid for. So there it is in my words a proper discription.

I have previously owned a non-force feedback wheel: Thrustmaster Ferrari 458 Spider. It was a great wheel for the price, but my driving lacked precision. Thus, I decided to upgrade to Thrustmaster TMX. Trust me, the TMX wheel is a huge step forward in the world of sim racing for those of you coming from non-force feedback wheels like I did. First of all, your driving will become more precise because you actually feel the track (or the front tires). Moreover, the adjustable rotation of the wheel (270 - 900 degrees) helps to adjust to different racing games. It is also PC and Xbox One compatible, which is a huge plus too.Of course, a $200 price tag could be scary, but the wheel is very well built and driving with a force feedback is a completely new experience. In my opinion, this wheel is great, but I wish its surface was fully covered in rubber/leather just like on the sides. In addition, I have heard that a lot of people are not fond of the standard pedals. In fact, the same pedals come with the Spider wheel. In this case, you can upgrade to the new pedals and a shifter/stick from the same brand if you wish. Nevertheless, I believe that Thrustmaster TMX is worth the $200 because every other force feedback wheel is much more expensive.I have already tested this wheel on Xbox One: F1 2017, Dirt 4, Forza Motorsport 5, Forza Horizon 3. Unfortunately, this wheel is not compatible with all racing/driving titles. For example, it was not recognized by Need for Speed 2015 or GTA V (not sure why I wanted to test it on GTA).I have also tried it on ETS 2 and it works great.Overall, I highly recommend this wheel for anyone looking for a force feedback wheel for an "affordable" price.

I have purchased this product last year, after a lot of deliberation and research on the internet. I was previously using Thrustmaster Ferrari challenge, which is a very basic wheel without any force feedback. I can say after using this wheel for about an year, that it is worth every penny. It has enhanced the gaming experience, and the force feedback is comparable with the high end wheels like Logitech G29. I have played F1 2016, Forza Motorsport 6, Project CARS on Xbox One. It integrates seamlessly to Xbox One. Just plug and play. Connect to PC is also straightforward. You just need to install a driver from the Thrustmaster website. I have played Euro Truck Simulator 2 on PC, where It's 900 degree wheel rotation is very helpful. The pedals could be better, but you can live with them. Pedals can be mounted using screws on driving cockpit. They have standard screw threads. But the wheel is table mount only. I have managed to mount using it on a driving cockpit. It mounts very well on both.Thanks.

Context- I spent the last 2-3 years with a Fanatec CSR on FM4 and was waiting for an affordable wheel to jump up to FM6. FM6 is the only game I play. So this review in many ways is a comparison between the two wheels. Overall, for the price, I am happy, though I am wondering if I may be more satisfied by jumping up to a Fanatec CSL.Pros:- Physical setup was super easy. Plug and play. I have a bootleg cockpit setup and all I had to do was drill new holes for the pedals.- Configuration was relatively easy. Took a little trial and error, but I got it to where I'm almost not thinking about the wheel while I use it (which is my indicator of a good wheel)- Overall precision and control is pretty good.- Build quality is surprisingly good. The buttons all look and feel good, the metal paddles feel expensive, and the main wheel grip is great.- Force feedback at 100% is strong enough to probably break wrists/fingers. For me that is useless; I dialed it down to 10% and it gives me enough feedback at that level. I've driven everything from Hondas with "power steering delete" to Ferraris on racetracks in real life, and I've never driven anything with the level of kickback this thing has at 100%.- Former Fanatec users can save some money by getting an adapter that will enable the use of Fanatec pedals.- Lap times dropped by about 2-3 seconds with A class cars around most tracks compared to controlled. Looking at telemetrics this seemed to be due to more precise braking and steering inputs. Naturally your mileage may vary.Cons:- Wheel is a little smaller than I'd like. Haven't checked the diameter but I'm pretty sure my CSR is bigger. Personal preference.- No thumbwheel for advanced camera view change in car customization/paint mode/Forzavista in FM6.- No bolt holes for mounting, and existing bracket hangs low, interfering with my knees when I work the pedals. May have to adjust my rig.- Pedals feel really cheap (they had to save money somewhere)Compared to my Fanatec CSR:- CSR has better mounting system- CSR has smoother, more nuanced feedback- CSR turns smoother- CSR has nicer pedals- TMX has much nicer feeling wheel- TMX costs half the priceSo in summary, I definitely recommend this to anyone looking to make the jump from a controller to a wheel for the first time. However for my fellow FM4/Fanatec players you might not be satisfied. I only got this yesterday so I will give it a couple of weeks before making a final verdict, but initial impressions are good. This is a great wheel for the money.
