If you TIG, this is the accessory you need! If provides a smooth heat shield for your fingers. If you don't have one, you need to get one. It works great! I highly recommend this heat shield.

Been using these for years and will continue to do so. They work great. As others have said and will continue to say, there’s not much left to say about these other than the one specific flaw for each size.Over time, the smaller tig finger, well for me anyways, becomes solid as a rock. Who knows why. A culmination of dirt, grime, metal, and heat can somehow make the smaller tig finger lose all of its flexibility. Its whatever I guess.The larger tig finger though, this one bugs me. It will constantly become unwound, and you have to fold it back into place, usually when you need it the most in the shortest amount of time given. Over time, folding it back up is never as tight and as snug as when you first purchased it so after finally getting it exactly how you want it one day, having it unfold on you and then trying to fold it back as snug as possible can be extremely frustrating. I'm sure any sort of pin or extra stitching to fix this will most certainly double the price so it is what it is at this point.

My main concern just prior to committing to the purchase was whether this item is indeed the real original TIG Finger(s) by Mr. Jody Collier of Welding Tips & Tricks (.com) and the Weld Monger Store (.com). I asked through the Amazon online interface but did not receive a reply so I was all the more nervous, but I'm glad I took the leap of faith and made the purchase - 2 bundles, for they ARE the ORIGINALS (same as those on weldmongerstore.com. I purchased 2 because I wanted 1 for steel, and 1 for aluminum. I purchased from Amazon because the weldmongerstore.com only ships directly to certain countries where I do not reside.The only reason I rated 4 stars instead of 5 for 'Durability' is because TIG Fingers do breakdown and fray eventually, but that occurs long after heavy use right up against extremely red hot metal day in / day out. On the flip side(pun intended), I can use frayed TIG Fingers by repositioning(refolding) the frayed section(s) to be concealed inside the folds. I've cut my old TIG Finger in half, refolded one half(the one with more fraying) and stuffed it in the other half(with less fraying). The ends are open(as it is no longer long enough to loop into itself), but I can still use this outer half(stuffed with the other half) for contact with the metal surface. This 'refurbished' older TIG Finger is used when I have to rest my torch hand(finger) on less clean surfaces, and the new TIG Fingers I use only on acetone wiped clean metal.This is a must have for intricate TIG welding in which walking the cup is not an option (torch needs to be 'floating') and the torch hand needs to be 'anchored' to the welded surface to minimize shaking but free to slide while welding - and slide it does - smooth!Thank you always Mr. Jody Collier!

Had the small one before, and used it for two years until it eventually came undone after MUCH use. Purchased this combo pack, and love the larger even more than the original! These also feel a little better put together than the original I bought a couple years ago. Well worth the money to save your hands/fingers, and stay comfortable welding.

If you haven't used them,you don't know what your missing. Slide smoothly,great heat resistance. Allows you to get to the end of your comfort zone without the dance at the end with the finger shaking when you have to prop on your work. I have large hands so i bought both, xl is the ticket for me but the smaller one works too.

Love the tig fingers! I have used them tig welding stainless and as a heat shield for a bunch of different welding applications. Don’t hesitate, these can’t make you a worse welder haha. Shipping to Alberta Canada took a week with prime to.
