  • Sliding lock plate clamps springs for optimized vibrational transfer
  • Solid brass construction
  • 4x the mass of a standard tin claw
  • Locked springs prevents shifting during tremolo dives
  • Adjustable solder tab

Stop having your tone clawed away by that old spring claw! The Tone Claw is a robust spring claw engineered with a locking clamp plate to lock the springs down at the hoop ends. CNC-machined from solid brass and at 4x the mass of a traditional claw, the Tone Claw is designed to increase sustain and enhance tonal qualities while also aiding tuning stability by preventing the springs from shifting or popping out during heavy tremolo use. With a traditional claw, the vibrational energy transferred from the sustain block through the springs dissipates as it reaches the claw because of the poor contact area between the spring hoop ends and the standard claw tabs as well as the thinness of a standard tin plate. The Tone Claw's locking clamp plate, in conjunction with the form-fitting posts (where the spring hoop ends connect), significantly increases the contact between the springs and claw. Instead of ending its path, this vibrational energy from the springs is transferred into the Tone Claw and sent back through the springs and into the sustain block thus improving sustain. Installation is easy and a direct swap for most existing spring claws such as those from Fender, Floyd Rose, PRS, Ibanez, and many others. The kit includes all hardware necessary for installation: four quality steel springs and two claw mounting screws. An adjustable ground soldering tab is also integrated which can be switched between two available mounting holes depending on the required orientation. The claw is available in either raw brass or a nickel-plated finish.

Looks awesome, Not so sure of increased tone, but very solid build and tons of Bling.

This thing is perfectly engineered, they thought of everything.I was not doing it for sound impact, just for bling.Wire tab is easy to solder wire to. Locks down springs great, but now I need to re-adjust the way I put springs on, it’s round end first with this claw.Included foam padding can be easily cut and shoved into springs to make them quieter.I would say included springs are about same stiffness as black fender modern springs. 3 springs + claw half in was enough to float the bridge. 4 springs will deck the bridge (9-42 strings). The only downside I can complain about is that 2 big screws are kinda not perfectly color matched lol. They are a bit lighter and blue-ish compared to claw and springs.I ended up installing fender “pure vintage” springs (softer a bit) and the fender kit came with screws that perfectly matched the color, so my photos do not show included screws.

Easy to install once you follow the YouTube video. Need a soldering iron Comes with trem strings which were not advertised however I ordered a set of noiseless ones separately. Works great, the product feels sturdy and robust

The piece is made well and packaged nicely......if it adds sustain or increases tone quality I can't tell and can guess this is a subjective issue in the guitar world. I have this product, noiseless springs, a 37mm brass big block and cant tell you anything but it looks pretty.

I am thoroughly impressed with this product! While the price seems steep, it is totally worth it.

I was impressed with the quality, design and materials used. Installation was simple and the secure clamping of the springs is the first that I have seen in a spring claw. The low end punch of my EVH 5150 tone got a slight boost and the dive bomb sustain was increased. Initially, I thought the price was expensive, but it is well worth it. I just purchased a second one for my American Stratocaster. Get one for your #1 guitar! I bet you’ll be glad you did.

Great build quality. Looks good too. Do you really need it? Probably not. Should you get it? Up to you. Does it make a difference in tone quality. I think so a little.I got this for two of my guitars and no regrets. If you like quality components for your guitar like me you will probably enjoy this. Again, good crafstmanship and I know both guitars have been upgraded. One went on a Tokai strat and one on an EJ thinline strat. If you don't want to spend the money for such a small item, don't. But, I am enjoying both mine and have no regrets. Tuning stability on both my guitars is superb, however, keep in mind there are several other factors that play into that so it is hard to attribute it only to the claw. Also, if you are looking into minor upgrades to a tremelo like this consider pairing this upgrade with Raw Vintage Springs. The springs allow you to add 5 springs and have the tremelo function much like having 3 standard springs. The 5 springs vs 3 to my ears add a bit more presence which I like.Lastly, can you leave your strat stock and have a wonderful sound and tuning stability? Yes. The key is in the setup, but, if you like many small improvements adding up to a better overall sound that only you may only be able to hear, check these things out. I can notice the small differences that modding my guitars makes, so, to me, it is worth it.

Locks down the springs, adds heft, increases mass and improves sustain. These go on all my guitars that have Trems now, period. Also not having to try and solder a blob onto the claw is a bonus!
