Had a few patches in my drywall to repair. Used the home depot orange peel coating and it wasn't matching well. Sanded it off - reapplied this time I knocked it down with this and it came out pretty good.Good build quality and the size is good for larger or small patches.

I have taken on the Herculean effort of taking off the texture of our ceilings in what I thought was a relatively small house, start this project at your house and suddenly you too will claim you live in a mansion. It's a lot of work, but this tool really was made for the job. I just spritz a little water on the texture, which is just drywall compound, and let it soften, and then I am off and running, well, scrapping. I have started in all the small closets first to get the hang of it and not gouge any of the ceiling while being on this learning curve. So far, so good. I am not exactly looking forward to the larger rooms, since I can only spritz and scrape so much in a day, and that leaves a lot of mess around while I am trying to finish off the chore. I like the scraper, it works amazingly well, and although it takes some effort, it is comfortable to hold onto. I suggest getting more than one and convince your spouse or children into helping with this project.
