I needed a pump to take with me on long rides climbing up some hills in my area. On the route I take, there’s a bunch of pot holes and thorns from some desert plants. I’ve had to use this pump multiple times after changing my tubes on various occasions of getting flats. It’s portable and I hang it on the side of my fork using the ziptie hanging system they included. The pump is fairly big, but I like that since it’s easier to inflate the tube each time you press down on the pump. Overall, it’s easy to use, it looks great, and you get good value for the price you pay.

After my previous pump finally gave out after 20+ years I researched various reviews and decided to get this pump. It's important to understand that if you go to the Topeak website there are 2 versions of this pump that look the same. The one I purchased is the mountain bike "high volume" pump. If you are into road biking you want to get the "high pressure" version of this pump with the guage.Even though this pump is 3 inches longer and a little heavier than my previous pump it fits into my Camelbak with ease. There are many advantages to getting this type of pump: it gives you a true floor pump power and stability aspect and having a flexible hose after the pump cylinder helps ease the chance of damaging your valve stem. I'm extremely happy with this purchase!!

Topeak makes great bike pumps, I have had various compact models like this, shock pump and floor models, they all do what they are designed to do. I used an amazon offset bracket to mount it next to water bottle holder on my mokwheel obsidian. Combined with a patch kit, you should be able to make it home, it’s also efficient enough to use on the regular to maintain tire pressures. The models with the inline pressure gauge might be worth it for the sake of convenience.

I'm a NICA coach and have gotten to use this a lot on the trail. One of the kids had a pinch flat the other day and the bead came off the rim. I was able to get the bead reseated using this pump, which I don't think I could do with most hand pumps. It's on the bigger side for a hand pump, but totally worth it.

The first time I used this pump was on a recent vacation. I planned on buying a cheap thrift store bike. I saw one I really liked but it had two flats and one valve stem was inaccessible inside the tire. So I got the valve stem squared away and pumped both tires to 50 psi. After 15 minutes they were still holding pressure so I bought the bike and rode away on it. The pump worked really well when I sat down and braced the bottom against my leg and did a pulling motion using my biceps. I noticed no difference in air flow between this pump and my normal floor pump. The little lock / release lever works in the exact opposite manner of my floor pump. So that had to be kept in mind.

I've had several mini pumps over the years. All of these were small and would fit into a saddle bag or frame storage but they were a pain to use out on the trail. Not only did they take a lot of effort and time to pump up your tire, they were awkward making it difficult to keep steady and on the valve stem (and I've snapped off more than one Presta stem). This pump solves all of these issues. Between the hose, foot pad and fold out handle, it is a breeze to pump up a tire plus the Mountain version delivers more volume. Of course this is not compact pump that would fit into a saddle bag but it does fold down nicely and fits in my hydration pack. The pump comes with a frame mount if you choose to mount it on your bike.

I’ve been using this pump now for 8 months, and it’s still working perfectly. I use it on a 29” unicycle; I don’t have any frame space to mount the pump, so I carry it in (or on) a backpack. I’ve used it to inflate both 2” and 3” wide tires (and once to top off a car tire). Starting with a tube just inflated enough to hold its shape, it takes 180 pumps to get to 25psi in the 3” wide tire, and 215 pumps to take the 2” wide tire up to 55psi.I change over between the two types of tire fairly often, and always use this pump to re-inflate, plus I’ve had a few flats. So the pump has seen a good bit of use: probably more than the designers intended. It has held up admirably. The only downside I see is it is a tad larger than other frame-mounted-type pumps. This doesn’t bother me, especially since it’s my main-use pump, too.Given its higher volume delivery, it does take a good bit more effort to pump above 50psi, but it’ll do it. This also doesn’t bother me.I’ve used four cheaper pumps so far, and hated all but one of them, and that one broke. I like this one a lot.

Excellent quality. Fits perfectly inside my frame bag. Works awesome for filling the 4" tires on my fat bike. Slick system allows you to easily switch from Schrader valve to Presta valve. Instructions are not useful, but watch YouTube video by Topeak. It shows you exactly how to do the valve switch.

Tested by letting MTB tyre down and found the pump blew the tyre up very quickly with little effort. Very impressed at the ease of use. A little more bulky than a lot of pumps but it still fits in my backpack. Definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to inflate their tyres quickly and easily.

Not used on my own bike yet thankfully, but I recently came to the aid of a damsel in distress on the local cycle track. After her puncture was repaired, it was no problem getting her tyres up to pressure using the Mountain Morph. The flexible hose is short, but in reality it works fine. Very happy with my purchase.

Expectations: Attach conveniently to my bicycle so that I can have a device to fill deflated tires with air. Grants 3 wishes. Results: Attaches to my bicycle and inflates tires. (Did not grant 3 wishes)A product that merely fulfills it's purpose with no frills, and no defects is a 3 star product in my book. The pump itself works great. It fills tires with air quickly enough, without making the task too arduous, and feels solidly designed. Three stars. So remove a star because the frame brace doesn't seem as well thought out as other Topeak products I've owned. The brace that holds the pump to the frame makes you pick between giving up a frame mount [that you probably want to use for a water bottle], and dedicate it to your tire pump, or you can use a pair of supplied zip ties to attach the brace to your frame, which just seems -- cheap. Two stars.Add a star for making a pump with excellent utility. A flexible hose is a great addition. I've had a few other other pumps that don't, and they're always a little harder to use, and always seem to be a little brittle. Likewise, the foot brace is actually useful if you're on a solid surface to plant the pump on.Three stars.Add another star for giving everything a place. The handle folds down and clips into the body of the pump solidly, the hose has a nice clip to keep in in place, same for the foot brace. The bracket that hold the pump to your bike frame does so firmly enough that you *almost* wouldn't need the velcro strap.Four stars.
