Beim Schleifen von längeren Messern kann es mal passieren, dass bei meiner Tormek T8 das Wasser nicht in den Wasserbehälter zurückfließt.Da hat man nach 3-4 Messern schon eine Überschwemmung, die Matte ist schön groß fängt alles auf und man kann sie super Reinigen.

I use this under my TORMEK T8 water cooled sharpening machine to catch the water that runs off the end of the blade. Does a great job of catching all the water and this mat is made to last...forever. The rubber is thick and very pliable, almost like a silicone mat. I'll never have to worry about the rubber drying up or the weight of the machine making a hole in the mat.

Ich habe mir diese Matte angeschafft, da ich die Tormek im Haushalt auch auf einem Küchentisch verwende. Das gibt teilweise mehr, manchmal auch weniger Sauerei. Auch wenn der Preis etwas happig ist. Das Ding macht einen extrem hochwertigen Eindruck. Im Grunde genau das was ich gesucht habe.

After using a cheaper plastic garden tray for a while I looked at this mat a few times and was perplexed at the cost, everything Tormek is expensive and this mat is no exception. As with the price everything Tormek is top of the line and this mat is well worth the investment. I thought how can a tray be that expensive until I opened the box. This mat is made of heavy flexible non skid rubber. The weight and stickiness is perfect to not allow the machine to move. The size ensures that you catch any water run off. Again like all things Tormek this mat will last lifetime and the quality and workmanship Is what I have come to expect from Tormek.

Well made, as are all Tormek products. Catches stray water before it hits the bench or floor. Also a good way to ensure no slippage of the machine.

This mat is beefy. It provides a resilient base of operation for the Tormek Sharpening System and prevents the sharpener from slipping on the work surface. Without the mat (or something similar) slippage could be a significant risk considering the drips of water that inevitably spill onto the work surface.This is a functional, high quality element of a sharpening station.
