About this item

  • Thickened, non-sagging, high-strength marine epoxy adhesive in a handy cartridge creates permanent structural bonds on wood (even hard-to- glue woods like teak), fiberglass, metals, glass, and some plastics.
  • Waterproof bonds absorb stresses from movement, shock, and vibration and hold firmly.
  • Easy-to- use system meters and mixes resin and hardener automatically in the precise 1:1 ratio and dispenses it neatly via a static mixing tube attached to the cartridge.
  • Works on damp or dry surfaces, and can be used in temperatures as low as 40°F. Long 75-minute working time and easy cleanup.
  • Ideal for building or restoring wooden boats, fixing broken household items, sports equipment, & much more. Available in a handy 250 ml. Includes 2 static mixing tips.

TotalBoat Thixo Flex is a thickened flexible epoxy adhesive that makes it easier than ever to create permanent, waterproof structural bonds on boat parts and other items that are prone to flexing due to changes in temperature, humidity, and stress loads. Now with just ONE product, you can bond many different types of materials, including wood (either dry or damp), metals, fiberglass, glass, ceramics, and some plastics.Because Thixo Flex is more flexible than traditional epoxy resins and stronger than conventional 1-part urethane sealants it’s ideal for building or repairing wooden boats that are prone to flexing. It’s also easier to use than other 2-part thickened flexible epoxy adhesives because there’s no measuring or mixing—resin and hardener are contained in an easy-to- use cartridge that fits any standard caulk gun (sold separately). Just attach a static mixing tip (included) and insert the cartridge into the caulk gun. When you squeeze the handle on the caulk gun, the two parts are mixed automatically and thoroughly. It’s that easy to get the exact ratio and achieve a reliable cure every time.Two-part, non-sagging Thixo Flex is pre-thickened so it stays in place on vertical or overhead surfaces, yet is easy to spread. It can be used at temperatures as low as 40°F. At 72°F, Gel Time is 40 minutes, Working Time is 75 minutes, Sandable Cure Time is 7-10 hours, & Cure Time for High Loads is 24. Tensile Strength: 5,330 psi; Compressive Strength is 7,200 psi; Flexural Strength is 8,800 psi. Store the Thixo Flex cartridge at 60-90°F before use. TotalBoat Thixo Flex compares to West System G/Flex 655-8, but is a better value and easier to use because there’s no messy measuring and mixing. Compared to typical one-part marine urethane adhesive sealants, Thixo Flex is more flexible, with improved long-term performance.

Needed to fix a gouge in my Yamaha FXs side hull, the gouge was only 2 inches big but I sanded down the whole area, just enough to get the THIXO speed evenly. It's hard as a rock and worked awesome. Veryyyyyy happy with product💪💪💪💯💯💯

23ft wooden boat with failing epoxy caulking in every seam. Planks were 1.5 inch wide and generally tight and narrow. Cotton caulking was not an option given narrow seams. Standard epoxies would tend to flow out of the seam and down the hull. Thixo Flex Adhesive fit the bill perfectly. Using a battery powered calking gun it was relatively easy to fill each seam and compress the material into the seam with a putty knife. Excess epoxy was simply scraped off and forced into seams not yet filled. It is expensive but the time saved and the quality of the completed job made it worthwhile. Looking at the finished product, the quality of the filled seams; I really don't expect to have to treat these seams again for a decade at the minimum. Thixo Flex flexible epoxy adhesive is seriously good stuff when working with hull planking under a few inches in width.

This stuff is great and comes out already cureing. A bit pricey but it is great stuff. Have recently used 2 tubes and it’s quite difficult to get pressed out with my calk guns. May be from resistance going through the mixing tip. I looked for a larger tube or tubes, but couldn’t find them anywhere, but I think they do exacts.

It takes a lot of force to get the epoxy out of the mixing tip, even with a 12:1 high thrust caulking gun. Your hands will be aching by the time you've laid a 5 foot bead. The Thixo Wood version is also very thick, but the Thixo Fast Cure is not; the Fast Cure is pretty easy to use.

I used it to fill stress cracks which I ground out around my port holes on my 1987 fiberglass sailboat. I used a 18 to 1 caulking gun worked great. I have done many repairs around my boat. I’m ordering for the 3rd time. I highly recommend this product.

This epoxy is great for fiberglass repairs on my boat. Really easy to use, good working time, easy to sand. It is just a little pricey but the benefits out weight the cost

The guys on Snake Mountain Boat Works really like this stuff which made it an easy purchase for me as a first time boat restorer. Having spent so much time removing all the paint and then wanting confidence that my hull will be sealed, this Thixo Flex product has me feeling good as I move on to prime and paint. The self mixing tip is fantastic, however the thickness of this product makes your typical $4 caulk gun ineffective. I started with one and my hand and forearm were straining from the first squeeze. I ran down and bought a 13:1 heavy duty caulk gun for about $17 and now the Thixo Flex just pays out smoothly. It's still not lightening fast, but that actually is good because this stuff is sticky and thick and you want to get the correct amount on the boat so that when you follow along with your corner spreader you don't have a lot of excess.Love this product, but definitely get a quality gun or you will struggle.
