How cute is this set in its own case?! I am running my fingers all over the pieces, and I can feel that they are very well made, all consistent in size and shape and all polished smooth. The spoon is deep enough for soup; I had been worried that it would be too flat. The four tines of each fork are the same thickness and shape, which is important to me aesthetically, as I dislike having different-shaped or different-sized tines on a fork. The knife is deeply serrated and cuts effectively. I bought this flatware to use when eating out of enameled cast-iron cocottes that I don’t wish to scratch with steel flatware, and I am very pleased! I like that, similar to the bamboo chopsticks that I have washed in the dishwasher for years, these I can just throw in the dishwasher. I highly recommend!!

I got this for the feel good sustainable feeling it got me and really wanted it to be a replacement for traditional metal cutlery, but it just doesn't cut it. Pun intended. The knives behave less like the a knife and more like a saw. You can cut a piece of meat with a metal butter knife because of the finely serrated edge but these just tear. At first I thought I could get used to that but then you get to the cleaning stage of this story and that's when I realized that your quick and methodical method for cleaning utensils when they are made of metal does NOT work with the knives because the gaps in-between the teeth are massive traps for food. This goes for the forks as well. Only the spoon is still fairly easy to clean and actually I prefer using the spoon when eating soups for the texture it has. But sadly, my experiment with this is at an end, and I will be looking for other alternatives. Maybe their are sustainable cutlery sets that have knives with a more finely worked teeth so that food doesn't get stuck.

I have misophonia and can't handle the sounds of silverware on ceramic. I didn't want to be stuck using plastic as an alternative, so I gave these a shot. A year later, they're still in great shape for near every day use. Two things tho: I don't know why the knives were even made, since they're entirely useless for whatever you're trying to do with them. The other thing is to make sure you do not leave them soaking in liquid for more than a day - they're wood, so they get gross and can mold! I'm honestly impressed at how easily they bounce back after all of the times I've forgotten about them at the bottom of my sink for even several days!

An underappreciated aspect of this product is that if anyone in your family is sensitive to scraping sounds made by metal cutlery, this product solves the problem completely. Should also mention that they wash up well. I expected a lot of staining, but there has been none. This well-made product comes with an attractive organizer box, also made of bamboo.

Had two sets of these for a year and some of them are starting to break from wear and tear. They lasted longer than expected and I honestly love them! Food tastes better, better for the environment, and aesthetically pleasing. So I just bought two more sets and plan to only use these moving forward. Never going back to silverware.
