This product is super nice but it’s a little small for my quarter horse.

Contrary to what many people have said about it running small, it doesn’t. Two completely different sized horses and fits them perfectly. The first mare is a 16hh slim horse and the paint is a thick 15.1hh horse. Many more holes too! What I dislike: it does not have very good wither clearance. It doesn’t put a lot of pressure but I do believe it could be fixed with a western saddle pad.

I was impressed with the quality for the price!!!! Hardware is sturdy. Extra reinforcement where buckles attach to girth. STAYS IN PLACE! My mare is sensitive to anything that's uncomfortable for her, but she took to this well enough to where we were actually able to get to work with it after only 15 minutes of her accepting it. I'm more than 100% pleased with this surcingle!

Super happy with the quality, was not expecting it to be this nice for the price. It seems really adjustable and like it would fit a wide variety of horses.

The size of this surcingle turned out to be perfect for my 14h/800lb horses. It definitely would NOT be suitable for anything larger because it almost doesn't fit my widest horse. If you have a small Arab or other "large pony" it should work fine. It might be too small for a Haflinger. It's hard to shop for these in-between size horses so I'm trying to be specific.

So far so good! I dont have a ton of experience with sursingles but I think this is a good one for basic use or for those that are maybe more novice. Good for the price!

I'm very pleased with this surcingle. It is perfect for my needs and fits comfortably on my mare. I dont know if the model has changed since some of the reviews, but I'm glad I didnt listen to those suggesting it was very small. My mare is 15.5 hands and while not a huge QH , she is far from petite and still has a few notches on both sides to enlarge.I think most everyone would say quality is quite good.

Seems like a nice quality product and works well so far. Some other reviews mentioned lack of rollers on the girth buckle and I didn't think it would be a problem, but it is a bit annoying to cinch up. Does not affect its usability at all, though I may try my dressage girth on it at some point. Happy with the purchase, especially for the price.

I bought this based on past reviews that said the horse size was large enough to fit actual horses. Unfortunately, this didn't fit around my scrawny young TB. He's 16.1hh but narrow and underweight. I have to use a different, much longer girth, but the lowest rings on the surcingle are still quite high and I find myself hooking the side reins to the billet straps instead.I also had read reviews saying the padding was adequate for high withers, but mine feels a little thin .I find that my moderate-withered TB is happier if I place folded no-bow wraps on either side of his withers to relieve the pressure a little more.Overall, though, the quality is decent for the price, and I find that I *can* make it work with some modifications. This would probably be perfect for a large pony or very small and narrow horse with minimal withers.
