Perfect fit on 2008 FJ, even though the Amazon car compatibility thing says it doesn't fit. Easy to replace a curling, cracked old one. You can cut the old one with a utility knife if it isn't pulling off easily.

Easy to replace. Remove the antenna mast, pop up and remove the painted exterior metal panel that the antenna goes through. Cut off old one. Reinstall painted metal panel by aligning clips underneath and whack it with the palm of your hand into place. Take the new part, align notch with bump below, slide down until it clicks into place. Reinstall mask. I did it in less than 10 minutes. Thanks Amazon for carrying these parts. So much easier than working with a dealership.

Good replacement for my FJ. Had my windshield replaced and the original antenna rubber holder had cracked with weather exposure. When they installed new windshield, it was necessary to replace the holder so I ordered this one. It fits and works great! My only headache was initially getting the car panel near the antenna to pop off. It was very difficult to get off so I could replace the holder. Once I did get the car panel off on the hood (small 5" x 5" metal hood piece), it was a snap to replace.

To be perfectly honest I can't see a difference in the reception between not having an antenna which was broken off in the car wash and having the bullet antenna installed but it looks pretty cool. I'm keeping on the old FJ.

Toyota Genuine OEM rubber antenna boot thingy for FJ Cruiser. ("ornament" seems like the wrong word here). I'm not sure when exactly my last one rotted to pieces; my FJ is nearly 10 years old but I don't live in a very harsh environment.Despite the old one being cracked and disintegrating, the inner sleeve was not and took some effort to get off. This new one went on just fine. The picture on Amazon doesn't indicate the actual appearance when installed -- the outer flange part flares out into a bell shape.

This is a genuine Toyota part so there are no questions about fitment. Installation was a snap. First you just need to unscrew the antenna. I used a piece of cardboard on my wrench to prevent scratching the black paint. They you can just yank out the old sun beaten antenna grommet. I used a bit of rubbing alcohol to remove the old rubber that had adhered to the paint. After the paint is clean just press in the new grommet and screw in the antenna and it will look like as good as new.

Arrived quickly genuine Toyota part! Fit perfectly and looks like new. The old one fell apart and was causing wind noise. Be sure to remove any rubber remaining from the old one and slip the new one on over the antenna. There is a rounded raised area on the mast that seats in the rubber and holds it on so work it a little to seat it properly. It's not difficult. No tools needed unless maybe to tear off remaining piece of the old one.

Works perfectly, fitting the FJ Cruiser exactly, with the correct pitch of the angle. Since FJ Cruisers vary a bit in the height of the antenna mount hole, this grommet nicely can be pushed down a bit farther to accommodate, if need be, and it's soft rubber so it just spreads nicely and forms a superb, tight barrier against the fender, looking perfectly natural as if the manufacturer put it there. The original ones like to rip out, as the thin antennae whip around and tear it as they pull the mounting around with them. To solve that, you may want to get a shorter 13-inch stubby antenna for the FJ Cruiser, also sold here on Amazon. They match up perfectly with this grommet and they don't whip around so much, protecting the grommet. But this grommet seems to be made better than factory original, so even if you leave the long whip antenna on it, it should hold up well. Just be sure to tighten everything down, at least hand-tight.
