Purchased so that we could play roll and write board games on my game table without having to take the topper on and off. Really handy and a good size so they are easy to store. No complaints yet about the boards themselves. The pen holder is also very good since it's one more thing I don't have to fumble around with during setup.I did not use the pens that came with them so I'm not sure how suitable they are.
