This little bass is AMAZING! First, that neck is really going to surprise you. It’s nearly full scale, and actually wider than my 3 Squier bass necks, and is incredibly accessible. It is a bit strange not having a headstock because it’s just an unusual weight distribution (and it’s slightly annoying adjusting the tuners mid-body), but you get used to it pretty quick and then it’s a blast. That pickup sounds phenomenal, and has so much treble that you can easily put on some flats (like I did) and not lack for treble or high mids one bit. Being able to both use headphones AND plug your phone or iPad into it is fantastic, and along with the extreme portability that turns it into the most amazing way to keep up with practice anywhere. Plus it comes with a case? No brainer! It is a little bit of a shame that it doesn’t have a passive mode, but seeing as it uses extremely common AAA batteries instead of 9V ones it’s really not such a big deal. The on-board effects are kinda cool, especially the boost in my opinion, but it’s also a little disappointing to not be able to adjust those effects at all. Still it gets you a few extra different sounds without any extra equipment, and that’s a win. So if you struggle practicing at home or on the go, or if you want to do gigs with as lightweight a setup as possible without sacrificing tone or playability, then this bass is the bass for you. It feels great, sounds great, is super easy to play, and is so incredibly portable and convenient that it would be an asset to any player. Highly recommended!

I've put a image of the Traveler bass(32" scale), along with a Strat, Mustang PJ (30" scale), Yamaha full scale(34"). The body and overall length are even smaller than the strat! The pickups are good and strong. The headphone thing works great,Aux in works great. I dont care for the strings, D'Addario EXL165 45-105. But that's just me, I prefer flatwounds. I had to loosen the truss rod a bit to get a little relief on it. Needs a thumbrest, I think.

I ordered this guitar on Amazon.First, the good stuff:It looks absolutely fantastic, the sound is great too. The idea of built-in headphone amp is brilliant. The fretboard is also very pleasant to use.And now the problems:The guitar I received had its strings tightened very tight. In order to tune to E-A-D-G I had to rotate the tuning pegs really hard. About 5 days after the purchase the tuning peg for the A string stopped functioning. When I tried to tune to A, the string would never go higher than G-sharp and then snap back to G.I contacted the support and even had an automatic confirmation that they received my message, but they never got back to me, so I had to return the guitar to Amazon.Another thing - because of the small size of this bass, when I played it I had to crook my right hand - since sometimes you need to press the guitar body against your own stomach. If it's your only bass and you play a lot, it may be uncomfortable to keep your right hand in this position for a long time. And the last thing - usually I keep my thumb on the pickup. On this model, the pickup is quite edgy and after sometime I felt discomfort in the thumb.I ended up buying Epiphone Viola Bass which I love.

Just got it and played it for a couple hours. I travel a lot for work and always have to take a bass with me to stay in practice. This is way better than my previous practice basses. The rubber-stringed ukulele bass allowed my plucking hand to get too soft to play steel strings when I returned. A very short-scale steel string bass was better for my hands, but sounded and played so bad that I dreaded practice. This Traveler bass sounds great... like a real full-sized bass. Actually the scale is close to a full-size bass. Has great punch, great sustain, and a fantastic tone. The built-in headphone amp is powerful and sounds fantastic, even better than my Vox headphone amp. The line in feature works great to get me playing along with recordings. The bass came with a good setup and almost perfectly in tune. The bass sounds so good I would gladly play it on stage if something happened to my main instrument. Suggestions for the future? - add a built-in tuner and lighten up the body or otherwise cut the overall weight.

Just unwrapped this beautiful bass and I'm most impressed. 5/5 stars. In context, I have many basses from many manufactures (Gibson, Fender, Alembic, Musicman, Hofner, Ibanez). This bass is certainly in the class of professional instruments and I would not hesitate to use it on a paid gig (and probably will).Out of the box, the bass played well and sounds great. I personally prefer a very low action and rather straight neck with the least relief possible without fret buzz. This required about a 1/8th turn on the truss rod and a lowering of the string saddles by a few turns each. The smaller body and the placement of the tuners is going to require me to adjust my playing style a bit but I'm sure I'll get used to it as required. The wrenches are included so the adjustments were very easy to do. The included case is perfectly designed to protect the bass and is extremely functional. If you're looking for a extremely portable bass I would highly recommend to take a look! I'm impressed!
