Gear, 28-T pinion (48-pitch) / set screw. Optional Traxxas pinion gears allow you to increase or decrease the final drive ratio and tune for different applications. Larger gears will result in higher speeds while smaller gears provide more torque. These are designed for use with 48-pitch spur gears and 3mm motor shafts. Use Traxxas stock and hop-up replacement parts to get the most out of your Traxxas RTR vehicles. This product is made from high quality materials and designed for long-lasting performance. Looks like motor will Over temp using this gear need Mod 1 gears for this type speed.

My Bandit came with 19T pinion an 86T spur so I ordered this 28T and paired it with a 76T spur. Great gearing for the street and blacktop on mine but i gotta gear back down to my 19T to bash in the dirt.

I like put on on my rustler vxl and it works fine. The one downside is it is plastic, unlike the picture. Which isn't the end of the world, I just thought it would be metal.

Does what it says. Makes whatever you put it in much faster. BEWARE of heat. This WILL cook whatever motor you put it on if you don't monitor temps.

This Traxxas 28t pinion gear is made of metal and is easy to install, and it continues to withstand the punishment we gives it.Currently run in a Traxxas Bandit with a 76t spur gear, providing a rear wheel gear ratio of about 7.38:1... means a great top-end, but it takes a moment to get up there and you really have to watch motor heat closely. A few fast, long runs and then a cool down period is best.When run with an 83t spur gear, the Bandit's ratio moves to about 8.06:1 so it is a little quicker out of the gate but does not quite have the same top speed. Still fast, but you still need to watch the temperature.If you need a pinion gear like this, or even if you just want to have one as a spare in your tool box, you will not be sorry that you did. Shipping was crazy fast too.Go for it and have fun!
