At first this portable fridge/freezer seemed to work well. It was annoying that I could not switch between the freezer and fridge temp settings, but I am moving and must have something to keep medical supplies cool. On day 2 of testing in the air conditioned house I walked by hearing a loud noise from the unit to see the temp was up from 38F to 54F and the room smelled of burning like the compressor inside was overheating. Sure enough very hot air was coming out of the unit's vent. I shut it off fearing it would be a fire hazard. With just three days to go I am scrambling to get a portable fridge that will actually work!

The Portable Fridge came very well packed in an oversized heavy box with plenty of styro-foam protection. Inside it has a removable divider wall that allows you to keep two different temps for cold and frozen foods. There is a control for each section and a LED temperature readout. If you remove the divider wall, it senses it and changes to a single control and temp readout. Very Clever design. I am very impressed with how quickly it lowers the temperature inside and especially how quickly it gets below freezing.

Only wish I had gotten a bit larger one but time was limited before trip. But LED light, large rubber wheels, dual handles, sensing divider, all a plus. Only used as a fridge. Since the DC port in car is not live 24/7, was concerned a few times if unit would power up automatically after car turned off/on for brief stops. It powers back up automatically keeping settings each time so no worries afterall. Pleased with fridge.

These are a super upgrade from the old Coleman electric coolers. They keep everything at a consistent temp, double as a freezer and you don't have to keep unplugging them to keep the cord from melting.

These things can't help but make a little noise but we did not find it annoying at all. And if you're playing videos in the back or have the radio or streaming music on, you will not even notice it. The temperatures were on point. Both for freezing and regular refrigerator temperatures. Holds plenty of soda and keeps fruits cold on road trips.

Our whole family is Gluten Free, and this means that we often cannot eat out anywhere and have to bring our own food with us. We aren’t just gluten free by choice but because one of our kids gets VERY sick from it and breaks out if it even touches his skin. A cooler that is also a freezer is amazing for families like ours. It means that you can bring food with you and keep it fresh. I love that this has wheels, so taking it from the vehicle to the room you’re staying in is super easy and you don’t have to worry about if the room has a fridge/freezer. The digital display is easy to read, and you can easily set the temperature for each zone. I can see where this would be great for almost any traveling, so long as there is a plug in available.
