My dad turned me on to Vulkem when he was a commercial window salesman for two or three major commercial window companies in the NorthEast. I became an installer for one of those companies and Vulkem is the only caulk we would use. It stands up to the commercial window firehouse test on big installs. We use this on everything that needs to be permanent and easy to use on install.

This is my 3rd order of the Vulkem Sealant. The first arrived in the familiar Prime box packaging undamaged. The 2nd and 3rd orders arrived in a Paper Envelop (2nd) Plastic Envelop (3rd) both of the later deliveries had damaged tube ends as seen in picture above. One as can be seen was not usable and returned. I did incur a 10% price increase for the replacement tube which also arrived (plastic shipping envelope) damaged but still usable. I don't know who in QA decided that the cheaper packaging would work for products of this sort but I will not be purchasing this nor any other caulking products till notification that they will be sent in boxes. I will revert to driving to local store(s) for purchase regardless of price. Buyer beware!

We used the Vulkem to fill the holes in our tongue & groove cedar siding after a hail storm. It blended nicely, and held through the winter. We will replace our siding this summer.
