It is a good fit for a 4x4 post. Sand the edges of the post before fitting or it will tear on the corners.

I had no problem fitting the boot on my 4x4.I took my pocket knife and shaved each corner to make it a little round. Skipped the boots on an drove it on with a flat 2x4.

Had a water leak problem on a elevated deck. The leak was around the deck posts. this product did the trick.

As I was struggling to get these on my 4 x 4 post as they were very tight, my wife suggested spraying the posts first with Pam cooking spray. Worked like a charm and they slid right down the posts. They look great!

It’s small, very hard to put over the 4x4 post. I have to spray lubricant over the post to pull down. Finally have to cut out and tape back.

item not as described. post sleeve does not fit over these once installed. requesting refund. very unhappy with product. had to cut top portion off to get post sleeve to fit which rendered them useless. can't return as they were caulked in place before determining the post sleeve would not fit over them.
