Here's what I love about it:1. Rechargeable. This gives you OPTIONS in placement. If you need this in a place that's near an electrical outlet, of course, that's not a big deal. But if you need this somewhere that doesn't have an easily-accessible outlet, OR perhaps in a situation where there is no electricity available or advisable (near water, for example), this a very nice feature!2. Remote control. Not entirely necessary, but definitely convenient, especially if the base of the fan (which is where the controls are) is on the floor. Saves your back if you need to make adjustments.3. Adjustable height. I'm sure the convenience of that feature is obvious.4. Foldable and compact for storage. Again, the benefits of that are probably obvious, too. I've kept the box to store it in because it will stay well-protected when not in use.I purchased this mainly so my husband can use it when he's working in the garage. It produces a very strong wind (on high; it's adjustable, of course) and should keep him more comfortable when he works on his projects and other man-type whatever-it-is he does out there. The only complaint I have about this is that raising and lowering the pole is not easy at all! It doesn't glide--it's a bit of a struggle to move it upward. I do think, however, that with continued use, it will loosen up a bit and become easier over time. If it doesn't, I could always apply a little mineral oil to the pole to help it move more freely, but I'm holding off on that because it's a delicate balance between Easy to Adjust and Won't Stay Up. I'm fairly confident it just needs to be worked in a bit.

It seems that storms are getting stronger which is causing more frequent power outages. This will make the power outages and loss of A/C much more tolerable. This fan has 6 speeds and oscillates. For whatever reason, the controls are on the base, a couple inches above the floor but a remote is provided. I added a small pocket hanging on the bottom of the fan grill to hold the remote so it doesn't get lost. This is easily carried so it will be nice having a strong or gentle cool breeze at the park and the beach. Recommended

Living in a storm area, this sort of fans are really good to have around. Good battery life, moves a decent amount of air, and with the built in battery you're covered for a while. I sleep with a fan, and having switched to this so when the power goes out, which it frequently does and not having the fan stop in the middle of the night is worth it alone. Wish it was bigger, and had a bigger battery, but as it I really recommend this fan.

This fan is about as close to perfect as you can ask for in a rechargeable fan. It charges quickly and battery life is sufficient. The fan is 12" in diameter with an adjustable height from 22" to 41". It comes with a remote control, has 6 speeds, a timer feature, and oscillation feature. It oscillates from the stand up so the whole pole oscillates with the fan. I love how compactly it folds for storage and for traveling with. My husband already claimed it to take to the deer lease with him when he goes. It will work great for camping or at the river when we don't always have a place to plug in a fan. The only thing that would make this fan better....if it came with a storage bag. It would truly be perfect then. I'm very impressed with the quality and performance of this fan.
