I was worried at first because the old actuator did not have a locking pin. I scoured the internet for information on this and apparently the intake camshaft actuator on these engines does not lock in place like most camshaft actuators. The actuator I received looked pretty much the same but it felt like it was locked in place. I ordered the matching vvt solenoid and took a chance on them. Got them installed and everything so far seems fine.
