Purchased for 2013 Fusion 1.6L EcoBoost: This unit had the correct oval shaped electrical connector for my car compared to the rectangular ones also listed here as applicable. As a previous reviewer noted, the friction clip that holds this on to the engine mount is too loose and will not stay on. I cut a small piece of 16 gauge sheet metal, bent a small lip on it and used it as a shim which made it 'snap' into place. I didn't have the OBD code but replacing this made a big difference in performance. Solenoid is located on the back side of the engine closer to the passenger side. Only needed to remove the air cleaner duct to have enough access.

This did fit on a 2013 Escape with the 1.6l. It has some pros and cons, and I eventually replaced it with an OEM piece - yet it was working when I did that.Pros:. Cheap. At the time this was $75 cheaper than the OEM unit. And it did work in that it resolved the over boost code P0234 and also seemed to be working for several hundred miles in use.Cons:. The casting is cheap and is missing a well defined "clip" for the attachment point to the motor so it would not stay mounted. I had to use some adhesive to get it to stay otherwise it would fall off and hang by the hoses. Also it's simply the solenoid. Which is often the issue. But the OEM part comes with new hoses as well. No big deal here but the hoses sometimes can be clogged. Easy to clean or replace them if so. Just on OEM you don't think twice about this.I put this on a car for someone else and when doing more work on it 2 months later swapped it out with an OEM part. The reason was I feared it wouldn't last as long and I didn't like the fact it wouldn't mount securely. For me it was "not wanting a drive back" risk.If it was my car I would have left it on and been fine with it and saved the cash. For this one it's now on the shelf as a backup unit incase the new OEM unit fails. So it's really up to you if you want to give it a shot, I can at least say it did work while it was installed.

It broke within a week of purchase. The little metal pipe separated from the unit causing an engine code and a turbo overheating condition. Would not recommend to anybody
