I am giving these five stars because I like 'em a lot. I have run the Dunlop D606s a couple times. I am going to compare these Tusk Dsports to those. Very stiff and difficult to mount so get ready. I recommend you buy a 12 pack and brush up on your curse word repertoire. Once mounted though they are great. I have a 2007 KLX 250 and they work like a charm. I was surprised how well they do in the sugar sand too. They work well in the mud as they don't fill up but can't say anything about clay. They seem to be well behaved on the street and don't make a lot of noise. They are freaking durable!! I rode one for about 5 miles on a flat. Didn't want to deal with it on top of a mountain so road down into a valley. Yeah it was the rear with a pallet nail in it :-( Anyway, now for nitty gritty. I really like TKC80s if you know you know but hell they're over $150 each now. What's up with that? These were $120 FOR BOTH!! Shipped to my door. I probably won't be going back. I just hope the price on them doesn't get jacked up. I would recommend these all day long and have. If you got any of the 250-300 bikes yeah. I can't speak to you people on heavier bikes let us know. Keep the rubber down!

I bought this for my dr650 and I have about 1700 miles on them abs absolutely love them on and off rode. It holds on a muddy slop on the payment and made riding off rode way more confident in the bike abilities.

Love this tire. Aggressive in dirt, sand, and rocks, yet knobs close enough together to ride on the street and handle corners in asphalt. At 35psi they (I have both new front and rear Tusk) were perfect on asphalt, but extremely bumpy on trails, I thought my teeth would rattle out.I'm a 240# rider with 350# adv bike. For rocky and sandy trails I used 20psi front and 25psi rear, and it handled very well on trails and in sand, and also handled the asphalt riding quite well.In the sand, I think it would handle even better with 12psi front and 15psi rear, but I didn't try it, because sand was only a small part of my ride.Summary: Aggressive handling and smooth ride on trails, and good handling and traction on asphalt and holding on curves (but I didn't try to push it in the curves). I view these as a much better Adventure bike tread compromise with good road handling, but aggressive trail and sand handling which is sometimes required on an Adventure bike. If the the tread is too far towards asphalt riding, they don't work well in sand and more challenging terrain.

These Tusk D-sport tires are great in the sand and mud. Much better than those garbage tires that came factory on my KLR650. They are a little squirmy (squirrely ?) on the blacktop but I was kinda expecting that. They were pretty loud on road for the first 250 miles or so but seem to be getting a little quieter. For the price, I think they are really good tires.

Hooks up well, extremely hard knobby becareful when it's wet out. Slight break in period. Uncomfortable tracking the highway but I got use to it. Nice DOT tire

Just mounted and went for a 30 mile ride. About 10 miles of it were Canyon paved and it felt very smooth on the road off-road. We just had a rain recently so the dirt is perfecto, but the tire gripped very nicely and instilled a lot of traction confidence that I did not have before on my Dr650 with a more street oriented tire. I’ll try to update again once I get some more miles on it. Great price.

Klr 650 pretty mutch in stock configuration just saddle bags for a weight difference I bought a set of front and rear dsport adventure Tires and installed them myself front is way tighter to the rim than the rear but will go on if you have about 5 wood clamps pinching the tire to the center of the rim and you have a set of 3 Chineseum tire irons as far as preforming they do way better than the stock tires in chunky gravel sand and slightly clay dirt think the northeast in mud I had no issues but it was only about 4 inches thickin snow on top of dirt it's way better than stock tires as to road use not bad the front gets a bit squirrely at speed starting at about 45 and becoming more noticeable as speeds increase the rear starts out being surprisingly quiet but soon gets pretty loud not to terrible tho as far as ruts and grooves in the road and off road the tires really want to change course to get out of them
