About this item

  • This Cat and Dog Brush is veterinarian and Groomer tested and approved. Stainless Steel bristles with protective safety coating gently remove undercoats, loose hair, and detangles knots. Coated bristle tips are gentle on the skin to prevent scratching.
  • Flexible cushion pad provides added comfort for pet during use. Ergonomic handle with built-in grips is comfortable to hold. Premium quality handle is long-lasting and will not become gummy over time. This cat and dog brush is ideal for indoor cats and dogs great than 30 lbs. This cat and dog slicker brush is ideal for short haired and long haired dogs and cats to remove excess hair.
  • HOW TO USE: Ensure coat is free of loose debris. Section your pet's fur and starting at the roots, gently brush through to detangle, remove undercoat and style, brushing in the direction of the fur.
  • For long-haired pets, slowly work towards the roots as the outer layers of the coat detangle to keep your pet comfortable.
  • TOOL CARE: Store bristle side up to avoid damage to the pins. To clean, start by gently pulling fur out in the direction of the bristles. Wash the brush in a mixture of soap and lukewarm water. Rinse and leave out to dry.

Developed with veterinarians and groomers, the Tweezerman Slicker Brush for large pets gently removes loose fur from your cat or dog. This grooming brush is ideal for dematting, detangling and removing the undercoat. Made with comfort in mind, the ergonomic non-slip handle provides comfort to your pet and the pet parent. We have all kinds of mat combs and brushes. For the cold season, we needed something for the longer coat and how the harness tangles the hair/fur. This has been the miracle for us and our dog loves it. That makes working through her combination (golden coarse and poodle curl) coat a bit longer in duration each time and easier for all of us. Highly recommend for doodles with combination coats.

Always good to get your long hair cat started young! Then no shaving! This is coming from a 30y+pro! This brush is perfect to get deep under the surface coat without poking! Make sure you use brush properly or it could bend the bristles! Just sit your baby on your lap and gently brush! Make sire you get arm pits and under and over base of tail and crotch!! Good luck!

Small but so are my puppies. I wouldn't expect them to groom a large dog

I have a Yorkie with long hair that requires daily brushing and have tried many brushes over her 14 year life. This one is by far my favorite. Very well made and feels like it will last forever. Doesn’t scratch her delicate skin and, gets the tangles out very well. If anything happens to this brush, I’ll be buying another one. Definitely worth the cost.

I got this after buying one that didn't have clear photo's showing that the wires weren't coated on the tip with plastic balls. I was trying to find a smaller head brush than the one I have to make it easier to get under a cat's chin, chest and belly. I had found one that was smaller, but when it showed up, I found that the wires were just cut wire that was painfully sharp. I dragged it gently across my arm a few times and it hurt! I tried gently using it on my cat and she was not pleased. At least it wasn't expensive. This one is more like what I was looking for. The wires are a bit long, but it seems to still catch the hair well enough to remove the loose stuff like my current brush. It's size is a about 1/3 smaller than the one I have and the cat seems to enjoy this one. I spent about an hour today just brushing her on my lap as I watched football on my day off. After a while, she gets fussy and wants to play with the brush vs being brushed, but up to that point, she seemed happy. Lots of drooling and purring. The handle appears to be cast metal and is a bit slick to hold on to. After 30 minutes of brushing, it gets a bit hard to hold onto with arthritic hands.

I have long haired Old English Sheepdogs and this slicker is easily tolerated for them. The handle is comfortable and does a great job. I wish I bought it sooner.
