Photoelectric Switch control by infraredray, as a apporach sensor, includeing a transmitter and receiver in it. A retroreflective arrangement places the transmitter and receiver at the same location and uses a reflector to bounce the light beam back from the transmitter to the receiver. An object is sensed when the beam is interrupted and fails to reach the receiver.

I used this product in a Halloween project. They work great will setting off a prop. The reflector breaks easily, but the sensor works great.

Great product, first one I got was DOA. Make sure you use a compatible relay as they suggest, and your signal wire goes to ground on the coil side, not positive.

Hooked up to 12v benchtop supply, work at first, after adjusting the distance screw it stopped working and only works intermittently. Something rattling around inside when you shake it.

I bought this sensor to use on a dog trap. Basically, the dog had to walk through the photoelectric beam to make the trap door slam closed. It worked perfectly. I also was pleased that the wires that come from the sensor are longer that a previous sensor I bought. The length gave me the ability to connect the sensor to a magnet. I would buy this product again.

Worked for less than a day and then wouldn’t pick up movement anymore. Returned for a refund of which there was no issue. Too bad because it was what I needed for a project I was working on. I bought a barrel type one and although it worked, it’s not as compact

Used it for triggers in Halloween Maze and it worked great. Easy to set up and align and the LED's on it make it easy to validate it is working correctly. Ordered more after original order...recommend.

Anybody should be able to install these photo eyes. Just make sure you get the polarity correct.
