I have used these up to around 600°F. The insulation did fail. Before use opening the K-type connection covers and tightening wires will be a smart move. All 3 units wires came loose within a short while. They maintain fair accuracy and are otherwise durable.

Good quality k type thermocouples. So far I've tested these up to 300C with no issues. Only thing is you have to remove the plastic heat-shrink on the tips if you want to do high temperatures.

The value is insanely good and the accuracy is within 10% of other thermocouples I have. However, the fiberglass sleeve is not rated for the full temperature range. I was using this in a toaster reflow oven with the bead taped to a pcb. The fiberglass sleeve started smoking (smelled like burning plastic) and turned brown around 150C. After doing some research on the inter-webs, it seems that most, if not all, striped fiberglass sleeving is PVC coated and only rated for 120-125C. Also the heat shrink around the beaded tip also showed signs of heat stress.

Good value for the accuracy. I haven't used them for any thing over 400 f. I really only use them for setting up smokers. They are not really made for the upper ranges of K type thermocouples like kiln work but 0 to 100C bench calibration was better than + or - 1'C.

Unusable. Though they claim to be K-type connectors, the Twidec ones (bottom plug) are inexplicably curved, not flat like standard K-type plugs (top). All three have these curved prongs.
