I'm using it as a base antenna for my handheld. 8w ht is able to hit a repeater 98 miles straight line. Tx is strong and clear. Rx is extremely good even on weak signals. Was able to tx/rx on simplex 80 miles.

Seems like a decent antenna. Cheap u bolts were bent in a press and one was half sheared off and broke while I was installing. Swr didn’t require any tuning for my set up which is nice. All around well worth the money.

This seems to be the same antenna I got from Retevis, an MA-09. I'm using a 20 watt GMRS radio and I have 84 ft of Messi and Paloni Hyperflex 13 cable. 60 ft to the lightning arrester and then 24 ft to the antenna. Getting a really nice SWR of 1.08.I normally connect with a couple repeaters at 21 miles and 17 miles with no issues. Net control says I am 5x5 into the repeater. The antenna is very lightweight and about 5 feet long. The hardware that comes with it fits nice and so far unlike some other reviewers I didn't have any issues. Both the Retevis and UAYESOK antennas from the looks of it are the same. Both come with the same hardware. I put a reasonable amount of torque on the nuts but not cranking it down hard. I think that is why some of the people complain about the U bolts breaking, but I can't be sure. I can only say I didn't have that problem. The antenna transmits and receives well.

Put it on the roof, plugged it in off 50 feet of coax. And it worked just great with a 1 to 1 SWR.

I received this antenna today for my GMRS base station. I didn't use the included hardware based on other reviews that I read, but used a strong steel bracket with two U bolts to attach this antenna to the peak of the eave at the end of my house. I attached LMR-400 low loss UHF cable. I routed my cable down to my radio room, checked my SWR in the middle of the GMRS band and it was reading a perfect 1.00 SWR. When I transmitted my SWR meter was showing a transmission strength of 99.99%. At the far ends of the GMRS spectrum I was still getting 1.05 and 1.06 readings. I was amazed at the performance. I'm surrounded by woods and rolling hills, but I was still hitting a repeater 50 miles away. I used splicing tape and 3M #33 electrical tape to seal my coax connection to the antenna. Buy this antenna, you will not be disappointed for GMRS use. It was lightweight and easy to install in spite of a 20 mile per hour wind blowing this afternoon.

Replacing the U bolts is a must (one broke while tightening and the other broke while loweringthe mast). As well as the set screw or drill another hole to add a second. After this was completed it was fine. As far as the antenna itself, great SWR 1.1, 30' of LMR 400.

I tried several other antennas with no luck. This one does the job beautifully! It gets me into the GMRS flagship linked system at full quieting that's about 35 miles away with lots of mountains and trees in between. Easy installation and great performance!
