Very pleased with this item. Saved me the trouble of trying to reattach the stopper that somehow had come loose from its moorings under the sink. Popups are better anyway, because you don't have to mess with moving the stopper handle with soapy hands when you want to empty the sink, you just push the little button. The only drawback is that the water doesn't clear completely around the stopper, but I didn't deduct any stars for that because I think it's just the way my bathroom sink is made.I wish it was available in a gold tone, but I might get the black for the primary bath anyway. There are other black accents in that room, even if it might look odd to have a goldtone faucet and a black sink stopper.

I couldn’t believe how well this works. Just push the center and it holds water. Push again to release the water. And it looks great!

It fits perfectly for me. I mean the sink is like kind of beat so it’s pretty snug. I’m washing socks in the sink because I have no washer and it’s holding the water fine the pop-up is a little low as a profile so you have to be careful when you’re brushing your teeth. It tends to take on water fairly quickly in the sink so I would just like stop the water when you’re brushing your teeth looks good. Makes the sink look better even it’s fairly heavy duty so it’s not flimsy. The one kind of rubber is silicone seal at the pop-up That looks a little flimsy to me, but I got no problem with it so far since I’m not gonna be pushing in a pop-up unless I’m washing something good deal for the money I would say and it looks like it would stop a flea from going through, so I have no problems there Probably very easy to clean. It does catch hair. It would stop rings from going down the drain. I don’t know about ring earring back so my thing is if you’re gonna put on earrings over the sink in the mirror don’t or put a towel at the bottom don’t run the water And you know that way small stuff like your jewelry drop in the towel I would I would close the sink first

Getting the existing ones out is the only tricky part. These actually just sit on top of the drain hole and lift out to clean...nothing to attach. The sinks in my guest room had plungers so I had to unscrew those mechanisms underneath the sink to remove the drain piece, then screw the part under the sink back in place once the plungers were removed. Those were not hard at all.The ones in the hall and master bathrooms and in the tubs were harder because the mechanisms were rusted (or gunked up so much) that unscrewing them was a lot harder. The sink openings were too small to use channel locks so that made it trickier and a couple of the old posts actually broke getting them out. But once out, I just had to pop the new drains in place and test them. They ALL hold water - no leaks - and pop up to drain easily.I always had a little water left near the drains due to the sink designs, so that doesn’t bother me like some have noted as a problem.

Photos:1. Original builders install of plug mechanism that failed not long after buying hte house2. Drifop Universal Bathroom Sink Stopper installed.3. Hair fouling of mechanism, that can jam up the pop up function if left uncleaned. When my house was built, the contractor used the standard bathroom sink plugs with the pull handle on top of the faucet (see photo), these promptly broke not long after I occupied the house. Replacement of the original hardware involved ripping out the entire drain pipe and replacing it to replece the drain open/close mechanism. These new plugs are far better as they do not involve any plumbing to install, simply drop them in the hold and they work. As I mentioned there is one drawback, and that is that the mechanism for the pop up, is easily fouled with shaving residue and hair that make it into the drain, necessitating frequent cleaning, but that aside these are great replacement items. Good value for the moneh and so far good function and durability.

Easy to install, does the job really well, looks good, and is constructed with strong materials. Glad I purchased the Drifop stopper to replace my worn out original stopper.

These are super easy to install, remove, adjust, clean and they look good. However, even if you unscrew the plunger from the base to the furthest maximum amount and unscrew the top of the plunger (the button you push) from the plunger they still don't leave enough space for the water to drain faster than your sink will fill up. If you have your faucet on high the drain can not keep up and your sink will slowly start to fill with water. You have to either slow the water or pick up the stopper so the water can go through the uncovered drain. That said if you moderate your water usage these stoppers work good enough until you can find something better.

Great quality product, love the finish, assemble well and sturdy. The rubber seals get a bit gooey, but not unreasonably. Falls short in drainage. It is VERY slow to drain. The primary function is golden, deals well, but practicality is not just right for me. A standard bathroom sink with the sink stopper in the open position and the faucet running half power starts filling up quickly, and it takes about a minute to drain a full sink. IF you like to shave in the bathroom sink like a do, it is just a bothersome wait and because it is slow it leaves all hairs in the sink walls instead of washing it away as with normal drain speed. If I have to remove the device from (hot water) kind of defeats the purpose of having it.
