they are hallow in the ring they still worked but would have been better quality and supported the speaker better if solid.

We bought these for our boat when we bought new speakers. The speakers are at ankle level underneath the seats. With these, they add a small amount of angle to bring the sound stage up a bit (at least I think it does!). They seem to be solid and the price is right.
