They never were abled to stay in 1 spot so I had to constantly tighten them & then, that’s how they broke.

I needed some handguards for my 2012 Kawasaki KX450F for trail riding up in the mountains near Yosemite. The green is a perfect match. The plastic will hold up to the sticks and branches I encounter on the trails. The stem that mounts to the handlebar is very thick. My thought is that it will hold up for a few crashes out there. We'll see how many it takes. They are large enough to protect my hands, light enough not to be noticed mounted on the handlebars, they will breakaway when crashing which is important to me, and they match my bike. Overall, I am happy with them and I recommend these handguards for your dirt bike.

This is described several times as being made from aluminum, but it is all plastic as far as I can tell. I do not think this can hold up to the stress involved with the wind.

They are nice thick plastic. But they broke while tightening them. So we didn’t get to try them out.
