Contrary to the manufacturer's description, it is NOT for power steering PRESSURE lines. It blew off on first test drive while turning wheel ( not even full turn). I should've read the reviews first. But now that I have, it looks like others had the same experience. I used it on a chevy 350 v8, with standard GM Saginaw P-type pump ( 800 psi). after it blew apart the second time I inspected the fittings and realized the fittings are not the same design as other braded hose kits. They do not engage the hose with even as much compression as a fuel line hose fitting would. The last kit I used from SUMMIT. worked fine. ...And The fuel hose kit i got from amazon worked fine because the fittings were different. they reached farther into the hose, and the collars provide good compression.

These lines blew out of the fittings on the pressure side, sprayed fluid all-over my headers which in turn lit on fire. I will be contacting the seller to request compensation for damages.

Fittings are nice, holding/clamping on to the provided hose…..eh not so nice. Hey, maybe this works for other vehicles but on my 67 C10 LS swap, the fittings let loose twice on the pressure side. Talk about a mess and a waste of expensive PS fluid. Ugh. A modern LS pump puts out around 1200 psi, so this combo must not be rated for that. And yes, before the “experts” weigh in, I know how to put these together and I have around 250 bucks in tools to make sure they are put together correctly. I’ve used JEGs stuff without fail but thought I’d take a flyer on this system. Whelp..it’s not for the LS pressure side of a LS based PS pump. Look elsewhere if that’s what you are planning to use it on.
