THE AUTO LOCK SYSTEM HANGS THE INSTRUMENT FROM THE NECK AND DOES NOT EXERT A TIGHT GRIP. THERE IS NO SUPPORT FOR THE BASE OF THE INSTR,UMENT AND THUS IT ONLY WORKS WITH A VERY LIGHT WEIGHT INSTRUMENT. WITH HEAVIER STRING INSTRUMENTS IT PLACES TOO MUCH STRAIN ON THE NECK AND IS NOT STABLE.

I like the adjustability of this stand. It’s very stable and because you can adjust the height you don’t have to worry with unplugging ech time you put guitar in stand. No more cord plug hitting floor and doing damage.
