Save your money and buy a John Deere replacement cable from John Deere. The cable was the right length, very easy to install, but snapped after engaging the mower deck around 15 to 20 times. The connector ring that connects to the lever snapped before I even finish mowing my yard one time.

Cable was a poor fit for the mower. Had to keep reengaging the PTO lever. Finally snapped the cable.

Almost easy to install. The metal piece that holds screw and the cable is not made properly. Nothing aligns but forcing it I was able to do it.
